A no good, very bad idea.

We have our lenses, we have all of these different factors of how society perceives certain people or certain roles and the negative biases of whether we judge that as valid or not. So all of this is sort of touching on this weird space between the individual and our experience with whatever it is we're talking about. Ng and our own ideas and perceptions and understanding of ourselves, and then what's understood or perceived from the outside

Whether it's by watching them eat or having someone to sort of eat with them or the sounds, the ASMR sounds or whatever it is. You could almost create a similar genre of video watching or whatever sort of media it is of the tearful apologies or the stoic reading of apologies or the performative. But I think that leads into all sorts of other things as well. Right? Because what does it say about us if as a culture we begin to appreciate or value this demonstrative tearful anguish

@SeekingPlumb: a hermeneutic of curiosity…

And there's parasocial experience that we're all having collectively by the use of these different tools. And for me, as a theologian, I saw that as nothing more or less than a master class, if you will, on curiosity, right? On developing questions and inquiry about sacred text, whether it be your Bible, whether it be the Quran, whether it be some other form of religiosity or religious doctrine, sevenfold Steps, Enlightenment, you name it

@SeekingPlumb: "I have good news & bad news"…

And I've always found these very peculiar to offer this sort of juxtaposition and almost feeling forced into one category or the other and sort of the direction, if I'm understanding you correctly, that sort of gives another illustration of this really sort of binary way of understanding things that we are exposed to in conversation and deliberation that it's sort of like let's talk about abortion. And immediately there's good news and there's bad news

It's sort of a relating of to another person as sort of an arms reaching out to not down or up to, but across, I guess, identifying the discussion field or playing field or whatever you want to call it, not as opposing sides, but a recognition of there being multiple sides. And again, this might just be my interpretation of it, but it feels like it's a form or tool within the context of ways of communicating as an author would, or in verbal communication

So the more individualism that increased in society the less people stopped putting up with common constructs that existed. This is another heartache. I don't exactly remember the words but what Freud had to say was to make a functioning society people created faith. Bad idea. What we refer to as gods

And opine is the perfect way to describe this. I'm glad you had the flashback because I had not heard this before about Freud and it seems like the perfect observation and fit here. Thank you
