Hbcu’s

Hello. I'm talking to you tonight about HBCUs. We have a daughter, she's 21 years old, and she applied to several colleges when she was applying to schools notre Dame, Florida State, university of Florida, university of Miami, university of Georgia, and also she applied to Howard University, just to name a few. She didn't get into Howard, but she chose to go finally to Florida State

But ultimately, I feel that if she's happy, and I mean, if she's almost graduating and you reiterated that she is happy there, and I think that's really all you need. I'm happy that she's happy, and I'm grateful that you supported her to make happiness her priority. Having parents who value happiness over anything else is so incredibly important in this day and age, and perhaps, unfortunately, a little bit more uncommon than what many people would care to realize

So, yeah, I appreciate you bringing something new to mind for me and bringing up a new conversation topic and just genuinely asking out of curiosity people's thoughts. I'd be curious what you think and kind of where you sit and stand with it as her mama. So thanks and looking forward to hearing back from you, hopefully

HBCU

I went to an HBCUs, and what would happen is it will back up a little bit. I went to HBCUs for both my undergrad and graduate degree. And when I was doing my graduate work, I tamed for a little bit. And what I would have is I would have students from the majority institution. That's what we call a PWI. I don't like that term
