Orb Yonder - a spooky season poem

article image placeholderUploaded by @BeaumouManatee
He snapped a shot of every window, every angle of collapsing roof, tangled weed and tangible misery in the hotel. We looked at the images on his computer, marveled to behold a blurred figure at a gaping window which subsequently boarded itself like an eye blinking closed in each successive shot. And all throughout the shot, despite the chill, despite summer long departed a kindred light to firefly gold. There's an orb. Cried George and Eric. Another orb. Yonder

And everybody's in the mood for reading books and sipping on a nice beverage like a cup of coffee or something and then reading a good book in front of a fire. So I really enjoyed it. I liked how you wrote that. It was good. It was well done. So not sure if you're published, but if that's the sort of thing you like to do in your spare time, then you're doing very well

So I did like creepy, boarded up house in the mountains with lights in front of it, and that was what it spit out. And it looks actually very similar to the place we went to. So it worked perfectly with the poem. Good luck on your home office conversion. I love being in a room full of books. It's very atmospheric

I've never taken any formal training and I spent years learning a lot of stuff, everything from grammar to dialogue to narrative writing to scene writing to how to outline structure novels to artistic related stuff, creating maps, everything you can imagine. I've learned about type setting as best I could. I've learned the business side of writing and publishing, and that's a whole different story altogether, especially with Amazon kindle. So I'm completely self taught. So I'm thinking, you know what?

That would be very cool to do that because especially when you're doing a booktuber YouTube video, right? You're talking about books to be read and books that you enjoy reading or you're making this video. It wouldn't be great to have that in the background. You could start out with white light and then switch to blue light. That might be kind of fun to try that. Anyway, I think it's very cool

I think I've gotten to use it once before and it seemed poetry cool. Probably use it again at some point. But I wish you the best with your writing and I hope you have a great day

Thank you for sharing this reading. I just realized as I was listening to it, oh, my gosh. It is the last week of September, and in a few short days we will be in the month of October. All things spooky, all things candied corn. I love candy corn. And I also love horror movies, although I can watch horror movies all year long, especially the ones that have a suspense element to it

I think it's a hard genre to film. I think there's a lot of different for every gem of a horror film. So I'd be eager to know your favorites. Thanks again for stopping by and for the kind words about the reading. Hope you have a good one

And then every year, unfortunately, many thoughts to the families who have lost loved ones, especially recently, it shook my court thinking about the young boy who fell from that ride and the operator couldn't figure out how to stop the ride and all of those things and allowed him to get on knowing he did not meet the safety requirements. It angers me, but yeah, I don't do those pop up rides

I hadn't heard about the boy falling from the ride this year. That's so terrible. Hopefully, if anything, it spurs some quality improvement on these kinds of pop up fairs and maybe more regulation or oversight or safeguards of some kind. That's just awful. As for your movie recommendations, I actually haven't seen any of those. Several of them us and Nope especially have been recommended to me, so I definitely will probably check those out this spooky season
