She-Hulk Twerking Dat Thang!

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
But they forget to know that Shehawk in the comics is a very sexual, liberated woman who just happens to also be the cousin of Bruce Banner, and through various means had undergone an accident to become Shehawk the fourth wall breaking lawyer, attorney at law. But a lot of people are p***** off about this. And some people are saying, go woke, go broke conversation. And if you don't know what that is, I actually am jealous of you

Are you stimulated?

Sorry for the rant lol

Doug for itself with some serious, longtime fans. The stuff that they're putting out right now is it's almost irredeemable. I think there was a period of Marvel comics I don't know if you're familiar, but what we would consider, like, the golden age, when Stanley was super involved and was putting out some of the most classic books that we've ever had. And in the 90s, Marvel seriously tanked

@Taylor 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What is that? I can see why people don't like it, but I enjoy it. I've been enjoying it. Some of the guests people on the show has been cool for me. Again, it's not the best show, but h***, sometimes when I want the best show, I go to Better Call Saul. I go to evil. I go to them shows if I want the best. But sometimes I like shows that are just guilty pleasures almost

Let She Hulk twerk in peace ya’ll!

But, man, I've written strip reeler down. I'm definitely going to go check that film. In terms of this scene, I'm into it. I am a huge Megan Nassau and fan. I have a huge crush on her. She's so sexy and beautiful and smart. She's a successful businesswoman, but she's one of the tightest rappers in the game from my perspective

@zejacques

Yeah, I was laughing when I seen the scene, and I thought it was kind of fun for Marvel to dabble a little bit into the provocativeness that had nothing to do with some crazy huge build up to some mega universe moment just having fun. But, yeah, it is interesting how people are up in arms. And I think sometimes people are up in arms because they know that others are. And so, hey, where there's smoke, there's fire
@SeekingPlumb

@FryedOreo Twerking = evil/bad? But oversexualized body proportions & costuming = good/appropriate???

I'll just read a sentence or a few seeing men as the human default is fundamental to the structure of human society. It's an old habit and it runs deep, as deep as theories of human evolution itself. And I'm going to stop. There something else she gets into a little later, which is fascinating to me that fits with this, is we've seen the uproar right around the Star Wars movie when there was a female lead

Although we say you should feed your baby human milk, or you're the worst mother of all if you don't provide human milk for your baby and make sure that they get the immunologic benefits of having human milk, and it makes them smarter, and it helps with bonding. Oh, you're going to feed them right here inside of the restaurant? No, that's sexual

It's very weird because I'm a grown a** man reading these comic books that are intended for the young white demographic. So at times it could be pretty bizarre, especially, like, in the 90s, what they were doing. Like, they have a character Power Girl in the DC Comics, and she literally like her costume is this large hole that is cut where her breast cleavage is. And this is supposed to be something of nobility where she's from

I had J on my swell. Dang. Let me stop. But people have to just get used to the fact that Disney, although it is this evil corporation, this imperialistic domineer of fantasy, I still think Shehawk is cool. It's a cool show. It's a cool show. And if nothing else, at least you know what's going on, on the show, right? But we need you to watch at least one science fiction thing a year. Come on, now

You are freaking hilarious. I'm over there, like, finishing walking the dog because I have a meeting I have to jump on. And a couple of minutes before I officially end my professional day, and I'm listening and cracking up, and my neighbors are walking past me like, what is she laughing at? You're a whole Jay Z impersonation. Dude. Dude. And listen, I'm smart enough to put my Twerking well truck to bottom

But, yeah, I think it looks like she's having fun with the show. I can see the show is not trying to be this. It's not trying to be serious. When it comes to great storytelling, marvel is doing what Marvel does best. It's not trying to tell great stories. I don't really think much of it. It is what it is. You know what? When I get home, I may watch me an episode, but it's funny

So I think to some degree, in aspects, you can relate to that. As far as Rap ish, you better believe I'm watching that. I'm enjoying the show very much. And d***, where did they find these women? Beautiful black women. D***. The lead in particular. Whoa. So crazy. But at the same time, I think she's great. I hope she does get to other work. I'm pretty sure she will

But I guess since it's medieval times, it's now considered stellar. Oh, good job. I'm busy right now, but I'll see later. I'll take your word for it. But anyway, yeah, Shehawk guilty pleasure, almost. No, it's not even a guilty pleasure. It's just a show I look forward to watching. I look forward to watching. I have yet to be disappointed

And I think people forget that there's comics for all sorts of people. And Sheolk was never really for kids in that aspect. They were never for the goody tissues market. They were more for the older collector. And it was never graphic or anything, but there was a lot of innuendos in there, and things were put in place. And when they talked out Stan Lee rolling over his grave, like, Stan Lee didn't create SheHulk

I listened to a few of your replies and Iron Fish Man was probably, I want to say, during season two, it was starting to become my favorite Marvel series. I was really curious to see where they were going to go with it for season three, but it was starting to get interesting. Like you said, it was his own story. Yeah. And of course, you got the woke culture and all that. A lot of people are hitting the woke culture movement

They had to kind of keep reissuing it or making different versions of it because no one was really on board enough for any comic series of hers to last beyond, like, 70 issues. It's like, usually it was kind of getting dropped often. So is it that much of a stretch to say it's probably why the show is not performing well because it was a character that initially was not beloved as much as, let's say, a Storm or even invincible

And I loved the soundtracks. I thought they took some good liberties on the soundtracks. Like the Luke Cage soundtrack was amazing. The Daredevil one shot hallway fight scene was amazing. There's some really good things that they did. And it doesn't all have to be this big cosmic thing. And the one thing I don't like as a reader is that a lot of the stuff doesn't translate well. They dumb stuff some down for the MCU that they wouldn't dumb down for the comics
