About my book - Dreaming Of Everest

article image placeholderUploaded by @saachid
So Dreaming of Everest is actually based on my own personal journey to the base of the highest mountain, which is Mount Everest. So I had set out this huge challenge for me and went on this amazing 130 km long naden trek through a region of outstanding natural beauty despite limited trekking experience. So here's a little bit about what the book is the protagonist takes you on a sublime adventure through blooming rhododendron forests, gushing streams and majestic mountain scenery

I felt more confident crossing it this time, walked across slowly, enjoying the view on both sides of the bridge. Getting onto the other side gave us a unique sense of high. Continuing on the trek, I had to keep fortifying my energy levels now and again, eating nut bars and chocolate while trudging up the precipitous path that curved like a ribbon through the rhododendron and pine forests. Most of my group members and other trekking groups passed me by on the Serpentine Trail

However, I was reading somewhere about Everest long back, but I'm sure I'm going to read a lot about that in your book. But what amazed me is the cost involved in even thinking about doing this. Because recently I got to know that if you're traveling with a decent crew, it cost about 50 lakh rupees almost about that. And it goes way higher. Not lower, I think, but higher towards one car or even more

The ebook version has colored pictures, so in case you're more into that, definitely you can go for that. I just wanted to clarify. So I went to the base camp, the Irish base camp, and not to the top, not the summit. You're absolutely right. It does start off with at least 50 lakhs, and it goes up even more. In fact, once you're there

Hey, Mira. Nice to hear from you. You're absolutely right about inspiring people through the journey to Mount Everest or even to base camp. In my case, it's all about the inward journey, while you're on that 130 kilometer adventure of a lifetime, as I would like to call it, because that's what inspired me to write this book. Actually, one of the reasons. So, yes, it's all about the inward journey

Hey, Priya. So nice to hear from you again. I cannot thank you enough for your kind words. I hope that you've managed to pick up a copy, actually, and would love to know what you think of the book. Yes, like I like we spoke about earlier, the aim is to inspire and motivate people to get out of the shelves and move towards their own Mount Everest, whatever it may be
