Trashy Indian patriotism? Can you really claim to be patriotic and a proud Indian if you treat your country like a trash can?

And I've never been to a country that is so incredibly dirty. Now, I'm not really mentioning the pollution. The pollution is, of course, noticeable and it is bad on some days and many days, and you do smell it in the air. What I'm talking about is the visuals, the plastic, the bottles, the cans, the cardboard, the paper that's just lying everywhere

We also have the idea that Karliness is equal to Godliness. Now, why isn't that deeply embedded in our minds as yes is equal to God? Why not telling us equal to Godliness? Now, if we can bring that perception into people's minds and get that kind of, like, just seep in and embed in every single person, I'm sure this could change. And I'd like to believe that making that change for myself is the first step

Hello, ready to go and thank you for your response. Firstly, thank you for your travel wishes. I will be getting my flight and it will be departing at 09:00. It's now 730, so I have a little while to wait. Secondly, I'm very curious whereabouts in this beautiful country of India that you are located, because that bird sounds fascinating. Do you know what kind of bird it is? Is it a pet parrot or is it outside? So just buy the buy

I wish that same thing could be used here where people are like, oh, I better not trust the place because otherwise people think I'm not good civic individual, a good citizen of the country, right? And I almost laughed. Like it's like this big cosmic joke. Because at one time as a civilization, india probably had the waste management system down path, right? Think about it. Because in an agrarian society like India, where we would grow our own stuff, everything was recyclable

And sadly you mentioned the lack of dust bins and I think many Indians pay taxes right across the board, but yet we don't have the kind of infrastructure, the kind of garbage collection mechanisms that corporations are supposed to provide, the kind of enforcement that is required to make sure that people toe the line. It's very rare to find such places, such districts that do tow the line

And I think what we must also do is become soldiers in our civic life by perhaps championing causes such as cleanliness, making sure that basic amenities and facilities are available, by making the leaders at the smaller, honest level, which is reward. Councils become more accountable. Regardless of which party, political party they represent, they must be doing their jobs. So this is my two cent on this one

India, I know that it is a duty of the people and we have to do clean our city and everything, but I, my friend, live in Bhopal and Indoor is the nearest neighbor of our city and Indoor is the first one in MP to be the cleanest city. And I live in Bhopal and trust me, Bhopal is also a very clean city

You can't just say, I love India, and then not back it up in your actions. That would be what I would say would be my argument. But again, I'm happy to hear other perspectives. And you're right, my perspective is from the west. Even the title. You took offense at it. And I just thought it was a fun pun on words that people got that people understood. That's what I was saying

It's really very messy, but it's still I suppose you would still class it as Mumbai, but I've just come back from a few days in Hyde Villabad. I was there working, and I must say, Hyde Villabad has a very different feel to it than Mumbai. It feels very clean, very green, very modern, very efficient, very well run, at least the area of Hyatt that I was staying in. So I do appreciate that

For two years, I've been helping to support a family here. Not because I pity them, because I love them. I'm part of the family now. I love that family. There are things that they do that I find as a foreigner that I find difficult to adjust to, but that's normal. There are things that they do which I find difficult to deal with, but again, that's normal

So thank you very much for that contribution. As I've said in previous place, I'm here to learn. I want to learn from you as well. I'm happy to express my opinion. I like I'm an opinionated person. I don't mind being controversial, but I do it as a way of getting people involved, getting people to discuss, to hear your views and to learn from other people. And it's exactly the kind of thing that I absolutely love

Hello, Hansa. Hope you're well. I'm just messaging you in relation to what you wrote here, because you said that you only highlight the negative things that are in India, which isn't what I'm trying to do. I'm just trying to highlight things that we could all try and do better, maybe in order to make an even better India than it already is too, which I think we should all try to do
