Your feelings as an Indian when India became 5th largest economy overtaking UK

article image placeholderUploaded by @mira.gopal
Does it sound believable? Do you know when our colonial masters left us, they never wanted us to prosper. We were plundered and looted by them. We all know our great diamond Cohenur is with them. They have really stolen it and they are not giving it back also. And they left us, partitioning us on the basis of religion and allowed us to bleed so that we die a slow death. That is what they did to us

Our colonial masters have fallen behind us in economic growth. Did you ever think it was possible? Tell your views #sayitonswell #india #economy

Thank you, sir, for your beautiful reply. Yes, we have to see the result of India being the fifth largest economy on the ground. I feel that we have a long way to go to reach that point as we as a nation are more populous than UK, so it might take a little more time for us to see the effect of the fifth largest economy at the ground level

As a result of the hardships, the miseries and the sufferings which we have encountered several times for several years from British colonialism and many other colonies, though we know that Kohinu was once captured from us, it was allegedly captured by so many rulers, and it is now in the British Ground Palace. Yet we know that India has miles to go and it will prosper more and more each and every day. And being the fifth largest economy in the world is just the beginning

The current milestone of having reached the GDP level of United Kingdom in nominal dollar terms is a commendable achievement but let us not lose sight of the long journey ahead let's not forget that the United Kingdom barely has a single digit population in crores while we are at 130. So we need to take up our GDP about 20 times to reach the same per capita income in nominal terms as the UK even though in PPP purchasing power parity terms our objective is not too far

We all are adaptable that we can sell into any culture and progress that's why we have Indians across the world whether in Middle East or in Europe or in the US

@RajeshKamath

Needs to grow 20 times so that the benefit is felt on the ground because of our population we do have the demographic dividend of younger population but at the same time though we are growing economically the growth is not really felt on the ground because of our population so I feel like we have to do some measures on population control although I won't say that we have to do something like China David but there has to be some measures like though we don't ban more than two kids
