She also spent time in Shanghai, China, working with one smart education group where she helped the CEO device a strategy for providing holistic education to middle and high school students to help improve their confidence, thereby increasing the success rate in college entrance examinations by 45%. During her time at Harvard, Sneha noticed that in today's ever changing and complex 21st century world, where adults are upskilling every day, kids are being taught the exact same subjects and skills as the yesterdays

Snehai would like to start this conversation by asking you about the motivation behind founding Early Steps Academy. From your personal experiences, what were the gaps that you felt could have been addressed through through the education system?

That in a world that's changing so rapidly, that's so complex, if you are not keeping kids with the right set of skills, the right set of exposure to all these modern essential things that are happening, however you

Thank you for this response. Sneha this brings me to my second question how has ESA arrived at a curriculum that caters to children from across the globe? And how does ESA aspire to achieve the goal of instilling the four C's which you have mentioned? That is the primary focus communication, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity

So everything that we do at Early Steps Academy is the focus is not as much on knowledge, of course there's a lot of exposure on these modern essential subjects, but our primary focus is on the skills of thinking and speaking, which includes critical thinking. The ability to work in a collaborative setup. Like you do not have your point of view. But you're able to build on other people's point of view collaboratively. Problem solved for real world issues and topics

And it's also the wide range of subjects that you touch upon, which is very interesting. So I find that I don't really have to push him for these classes. So that's wonderful. And to know that the team has put in so much of effort and spoken to so many academicians worldwide to arrive at this curriculum is fascinating and truly commendable. My next question is what would be your advice to parents in terms of helping them support their children's dreams, their goals?

@Wordsmith

A lot of times, like parents try to preach what they feel are things that they wish they had done and it's not coming from me. This is like we also, as part of Early Steps Academy, in track with a lot of parents psychologists

But ultimately, this doesn't necessarily guarantee a ticket to success, right? So as parents would envision our students themselves, the expectations are sky high, and we know for a fact that there is a huge gap between what is expected and the ground realities. So how does one cope with this kind of a disappointment? And what has been your experience in this regard? You have been an alumni of IIT

So if I look back at my career in the last several years, and if I look at what my peers are doing, how they switch jobs so what the observation consistently has been that it at least provides you a little bit of leverage for you to at least try for a better job right after college. But what you do, like post getting that job, not everybody has been able to thrive, succeed, or just like go all sort of on the success route in the job as well
