When she came out the shadows with a pillow floating on her tongue. We kiss out in the open in ways I will never be able to with a man. We were dropped on nostalgia, our navy life and off of proximity, just as we have so many other lives before, where we were both loved and hated and we both loved and hated each other

The beauty, pain and longing here. Well done ✨✨✨

It just was what it was. There's no bringing it back, there's no making it something new, real or deeper or different. And it's like a sweet kind of sadness because you both know it was there, so it was real, you didn't imagine it, but you just can't get it back. It's not meant to get back. It just exists in that one period in time. And I have personally tried to develop a healthy relationship with that

Because if I'm going to write about myself, I have to be really honest and okay with the flawed aspects and how I used to see the world back then. But the hardest thing is to write from those eyes when you're still jaded. And I'm glad that you caught on to the sweet sadness because I don't know, it is. It exactly is. And there's, like, hope

Hey, PK. I thought it was just fair to share the link of the story that mirrors this one. It's worth taking a look back because you can see where it all started, if you haven't heard it already

My first swell of the day, and it was brilliant. Loved that. And you knew that I would. Well, I don't know if you knew that I would, but I do. That was great. I love how writer you are at describing. And it's like I can see it like a movie, and it's so poetic and beautiful. Great job
