Hooch tragedy; What do you think of the alcohol ban?

article image placeholder2,500 arrested in major Gujarat crackdown after hooch tragedy killed 42: Police
And there are both critics and people who believe that such a law is necessary to maintain order, as it were. So what do you think? Do you think alcohol should be banned or do you think the state has no business interfering in such a profitable sector?

And yes, it can affect your behavior and make you behave like an idiot sometimes. But the vast majority of people do not. Even when they're drunk, even when they are slightly intoxicated, the vast majority of people do not. What they should be is help for people who have addictions, all sorts of addictions, there should be help available to those kinds of people. They should not be criminalized and demonized and stigmatized for doing those things

#alcoholban

Hey guys. Banning something in the initial stage when people are not used to that should be the easiest one for the government. Like online drummy where people lose a lot of money. But I don't see no action on this yet. When you ban something for which the people are addicted to then people will always use to find an alternate way. And in case of alcohol, who knows, people might start preparing themselves at home

There's a lot of it's a big industry. There are many employments that are generated through alcohol. And frankly, if you wish to really ban the alcohol, ban the makers itself in that case straight away. I know it's very childish and it's quite outrageous way that I am coming up with my response. But frankly speaking, it's high time that people do understand that banning something is not going to help you
