Internet Apologies - the one way road that should have been multilaned

article image placeholderUploaded by @Binati_Sheth
In the real world, I'm here to witness something of this sort. But online, yes, there is this lack of empathy that seems to present itself when it comes to demanding apologies from people like that in and on itself, right? Demanding an apology. When we go and demand an apology, I don't think we are in much of a forgiving mode, right? We are more in a pitchfork mode

Is that today. With all the social platforms. People seem to take something that they value or find important. They package it up and put it out into the quote unquote marketplace. And they've attempted to package it in such a way that everyone else will latch on and find value in it too

@SeekingPlumb I made an oppsie - when i said Reagan i meant Nixxon! Sorryyyy!

Similarly, another YouTuber who was leading the apology, people were angry about the PR style verbiage of the apology. Then there was someone who, good gosh, danced provocatively. I should not laugh, I couldn't stop myself. But, yeah, they did that and obviously people were upset about that too. And I think it comes down to the two things that you've narrowed down, packaging and performance

And also the ins and outs of what makes a quote unquote good apology, et cetera, et cetera, and the tall poppy thing, et cetera. All of these things that we've touched on. But I could see there being a business that's either a service or an app or something that helps the person put their apology out there. Did you ever read those books when you were younger? They were like, choose your own adventure

It's not just some text that is cold staring at you in the face out there. I think it makes a difference. Except for writers. I think writers have this penchant for writing. Whatever they put out there is deep thought through. But that may not be the case for everyone who is using the virtual world, the Internet or using digital media. So I think perhaps because of that, conversations on Swell do tend to possibly give conflicting opinions, but without the baggage of having to hurt someone

It's just that in the pacing of the world that we are right now and all the content saturation also that has happened, it's just refreshing to actually talk to people people. So yeah, I completely went off topic but I think, you know, I do that. Thank you so much and I'll keep trying

They would have helped me identify my blind spots. They would have helped me realize where I went wrong. They would have helped me craft an apology that doesn't enrage people more, and they would have helped me see how I, as a person, could learn and grow from business. Oh, my God, I can visualize this happening. Also, fun fact, one of my very good friends, before he did what he does now, which is he writes satires and he self publishes them

Oh, my God, I'm laughing so hard as a tear streaming down my face. Okay, like, wow. At first, it started out, like, super funny, and you're describing these things like, oh, my God, yes, I could see it, too, in the ways that you're describing it

And the fact that someone went through this effort, I can't even it is funny, but I think at Woodyn, just like how we have Kafkaesque and things of that sort, I think we might have migratean or Atwoodian or some world of that sort of situations like this, because so many writers have prophesied a lot of things about the world. I'm not recalling exactly who it is, but the roughly paraphrase, the quote goes information is never the problem. Human beings are

I might just have to save this link. Like, I skipped through a few of them, and I think it would be terribly fascinating to just watch behavior and language and demeanor and, like, just the human aspects of it, right. All the dynamics involved with it. And I don't have the patience or desire today, but at some point, maybe it's fascinating and strange. And I love that quote that you remembered
@SeekingPlumb

@Binati_Sheth

Oh, I forgot. You mentioned in passing that you thought I was in the US. I was born there. I'm a dual citizen with Canada, and I'm living in Canada right now, so I can see most of the things that are available to the yes, US. But occasionally there's some things that are, and I can't see. But for the first several videos that I did look at, they were available. I don't know what I'm elaborating on

There's a risk of that and there's a risk of completely not acknowledging anybody's honest and true intentions. But like I said, nobody's really figured it out, right? There is no singular way of leading life. It's only suggested and conclude by saying at the end of it all you hear a lot of opinions and like you said, the word gaming knowledge of well, my mantra for life is www whatever works. Do whatever works best for you and keep going. Thanks

Yeah, I think video and audio, in that sense, as you rightly said, then it becomes a personality. It's no more just about the perspective. It's a lot more difficult. Definitely. And I'm so happy you're here, Pinnetti. You know that. Thank you. Thank you so much for being here on Swell

Companies like Ms. Mojo and all of these who had done compilation of apologies, they were best internet apologies, worst internet. Oh, my God. The variety. It was so good. So good in terms of content syndication and content curation. I don't know what it says about human behavior, but we do like to create content. That's what it definitely says about us

That was such a wonderful swell about the truth thing, right? I think HBO's Chernobyl has some of the greatest lions ever about this truth bit. I think this was the opening lie scenes of the show or one of the episodes had this as the opening line when truth offense, we lie and lie until we can no longer remember it is even there, but it is still there. Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later that debt is paid
