Idea Coach | Your Worst Idea Is Usually Your Best Idea

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
Hello. I am Fried Oreo, your designated idea coach. And you, my friend, your worst idea is usually your best idea. I know, I know. You think think I'm just making some stuff up. And what is the sense of going with bad ideas instead of good idea? But how do we know an idea is bad or if it's good? We know by the reaction from the public of said idea

Stop thinking and start creating! #IdeaCoach

All right. My worst idea being my best idea. So I had this idea. I'm going to build the studio to do my podcasting out in the backyard, out of a woodshed. It works great for recording. Double my utility bill, though I'm now paying over $500 a month for power. Why? I don't know. Nobody listens to my podcast, so I legit have zero listings on, like, the last six episodes

@yourdadspodcast 🤣🤣😰

Your dad's podcast. Thank you so much for tuning in to this session on idea and it sounds like you have been through the thick of it with your ideas. But let's start, start at the beginning, at least of the inception of the idea. It's interesting that for you to make a podcast you needed to build a $10,000 studio in order to make the podcast to which you say you received zero listings

We were talking about this the other day. A lot of the best songs were not really the best idea. Even with films, bro, some of the scenes or dialogue that were shot, some of them weren't considered the best idea. An actor will mess up on a dialogue and he'll improvise and it will turn out to be some of the best idea. What else? An accident will happen on set, right. Remember Collateral, when Tom Cruise slipped? That was an accident

So ideas, in its essence, in its purest form, our thoughts, data, information flowing in and out of your mind with chemicals and all that good stuff and neurons, electrons firing, right? And what I am attempting to do as an idea coach is to get your ideas flowing better, and they don't flow better unless you act on those idea. So I don't want to hear about your brainstorming, your list of bullshit you put

Anyway, it's like if you want to come up with an idea and the analogy is you're standing on a bridge and you're going fishing and you throw that fishing line way out there and then you slowly start to reel it back in and you'll have more possibilities of more fish you might catch not only from way out there, but as you're starting to reel it in

I'm pouring water in a crock pot with some chicken breasts and some vegetables that it's okay for his breed of dog to eat with a little bit of about a quarter cup of chicken broth, non sodium or unsalted chicken broth. And I let that bad boy does marinate broth six to 8 hours. And then with the chopping oyster here is I have this meat like scissor things that I got from Pampered chef. And you just cut up the very tender chicken, which kind of just falls apart anyway

Christina, thank you for joining this conversation. And I consider you to be a great idea person and one that takes the idea prior to process very seriously. And I can also tell from the way in which how you process ideas outward, you construct from a thought and you kind of extend and extend and extend and extend and extend. And then from that you get more ideas and more ideas and more ideas and more ideas and more ideas. It comes natural, I see, with you

I like me ideas.

I would argue that where we fail most when it comes to ideas is actually executing the idea for fear of failure. I say all the time when you're in your own head, you're behind enemy lines, so you have an idea, whether it's good, bad or indifferent, you talk yourself out of it being a good idea so you don't try to execute it

Hello. Your dad's podcast. Jeff Cross here. I wanted to respond to your response within this swell cast here. I believe this is this is the first time I ever heard anything you said, and I went and looked at your profile. I think you had, like, 23 followers. FYI I followed you. I want to hear what you have to say, but what I'm hearing is some pretty dry humor

J. L. Thank you for joining this conversation where we talk about ideas. And it's interesting to me, it sounded like you're talking about plans that that do involve ideas. But I wonder, without a plan, how do your idea shape? Do you feel if you don't have a plan for an idea, that it's a waste of an idea? I'm just curious because it sounded like you were talking about planning and goals and of course, that's in the idea structure

It's unfortunate to see because I feel like an app like this has so much to provide in terms of idea formation, being that it's so intimate with the voice that it can be the kernel of process that starts to create this popcorn popping effect that can get other ideas going. It can get you motivated to start doing other things in life. Sometimes all it takes is one decision, one decision to act on

Oh my goodness. That was a curb your enthusiasm moment. I was saying, I was making the comment that your son was laughing at you, not us. Like, ha ha, you think your son is laughing at us, but he's really laughing, laughing at you. It was supposed to be funny. Dewuan, flow with me, please. Anyway, here's the thing with me

I know you have such a disdain for star wars, star trek, Shehawk these sorts of fantastical fantasy sort of things. I was wondering, what is a fantastical fantasy sort of show you've watched, that you've enjoyed? Have you ever been into dragons and fairies or superheroes or robots or anything like that? Or has all you enjoyed and have known been stuff of the hero?

It's giving me all of the things I love it, I love it, I love it. The next fantastical, quote, unquote, ish movie that I liked. I am trying to think outside of Game of Thrones, house of Dragon, Black Panther, of course, I wouldn't want my black card revoked by not listing that. Hello. What was the one where Thanos got all of the rings and people disappeared? That was a good movie. I know

Thank you so much, J. L. For entertaining my thoughts. And I envy your approach to creation. It's probably what is holding me back. If I could be a bit more concrete in my creation, I probably could be doing better things in life. But I stammer when it comes to that sort of thing. But I'm working on it. That's what I consider adulting
