Scorching Heat Blasts into the UK. Where are you and are you melting?

article image placeholderAnalysis: UK smashes its hottest-day record, 100 million Americans under alerts in global heat emergency — CNN
Records were set today in the UK. 40 Degrees Celsius 104 Fahrenheit that is hot. It's the country's hottest day on record. So what's going on? The UK K's chief scientist made a statement today basically saying it's shocking. The country has never experienced this, but they know that this is being driven by greenhouse gases, of course. And it's not just disrupting people's lifestyles and just their health

And I even have my AC on very low. And it seems like it's only keeping half of my place cool. And yeah, so I turned it down even more and hopefully that will start to make it a little bit cooler on the other side. But, yeah, I have sweat enough to swim in my own little mini pool. Yes. AOK over here, I guess, besides that

The future is now, you dont need a movie to see it. @DBPardes

I guess I just try to seek the balance with the headlines and say, well, this warm weather, this is a challenge. But I can, I guess, do something about this. I can stay indoors. I can put the AC on. I mean, you mentioned the economy. I'm like, okay, we've already been softened. The economy has been already tenderized by the pandemic. We somewhat know what that feels like

And I think that's part of the language we're trying to find here, right? But it's just devastating to think about the nature around this. Not just the people, but the nature that's changed and the bird migrations that are shifting and the fish migrations that are changing. And it's all pretty crazy. But thank you for dropping us into your world. I'll drop you into mine with a picture from last night
