Florida's West Coast Prepares for Ian

article image placeholderHurricane Ian could bring storm surge to Tampa Bay. Here’s what to know.
I would love to hear from people in Florida that are either evacuating or planning to stick the storm out. I'm curious what your thoughts are. Our thoughts are with you. Anything we can do to help, let us know. And this is something that President Biden has already declared a state of emergency. So expect a lot more from this story if this storm continues down the path of what it is projected to do

Devastating damage already

Well, I'm starting to see some of the videos and pictures of the devastation that's happening in Florida already. And it's just it's gutting. It's absolutely gutting. I saw a video of an entire house floating, just moving down a body of water where body water should not be. And then I also saw in Tampa Bay a reverse surge where the water is actually nowhere to be seen, kind of sucked out. And I've never seen that before

@Phil

Maybe it's because I grew up not really having to deal with it, but I just think that water and fire, those are two things that you don't want to mess with and are super unpredictable and very strong and they do what they want and that's a really frightening thing to have to worry about. I literally just saw a video of a shark swimming in one of the neighborhoods because the water had risen so high. I mean, come on
