Random thoughts and observations from my dark and confused mind. Don’t be afraid, probably just as dark and confused as yours. 😉

More Friends, More Lonely?

article image placeholderUploaded by @HeatherR
Obviously the less lonely you're going to be. What do you guys think? Do you think and it probably your own experience is going to contribute into what you think about this? For me personally, I have very few, I would say close friends and probably several acquaintances, but then like, do those acquaintances help? I mean, if I really needed to talk to someone about something and I was feeling extra lonely, like, would I call up one of those acquaintances? Certainly not

Do you think having more friends is less lonely? #friendship #lonliness

On my Facebook now okay, let me go to my profile. I have 148 friends on my Facebook. Interesting, right? But obviously Facebook is not a great estimate of friendships, as opposed it's just metrics of people. You know, maybe some of those people can be close, but I only have two close friends in my life, one of them of which is on Swell

150 sounds like a lot to me. I do agree that there's a rotation, though there's definitely been a rotation in my life of people that I would consider true friends. But what is interesting is I think less is more sometimes. Like, I have a friend who I can spend an hour with, and that 1 hour with that one person can reduce the loneliness significantly and it can just be a great experience
