Oh Keanu…

I love that they're going to expand this world, but every time you expand world, I think filmmakers might have a temptation to go bigger or kind of go outside of it and go sometimes over the top. And I feel John Wick, sooner or later, might be getting to that point. I mean, when you look at the end of the third one, especially. But the first one really set a great course for kind of a re emergence of Keanu. And we appreciate it

Happy belated birthday to Keanu Love, love the guy. I'm wondering if you've seen his seminal performance in freaking Something's gotta Give, starring Diane Keaton and and Jack Nicholson, because he's fantastic in that he's so good. Also an amazing movie to me. One of the best romcoms I've ever seen. Yeah, he's great in that. I just wanted to drop that in there. I feel like it's a nice contrast to his action roles

And I think it's one of those movies. I remember before the movie came out, I was reading the casting for it and I was like, Keanu is going to Romcom. And you know what? Keanu Romcom is with Theo. Best of them. And I think one thing that's kind of not necessarily realized is that he has done some comedies here and there not a lot, but he's very funny. And as a person, he is quite funny as well as charming

And then, of course, you got movies like Speed, which is one of the greatest action thrillers of all time. And I have to say that it holds such a special place in my heart. The third one was not great, but the Bill and Ted series, the first two are so ridiculously fun and I feel timeless while also sort of being a time capsule because it takes you to a different era and every bit as fun now as the day that I first saw it

And then when people started to learn about a lot of the stuff in his back history and kind of realize it's like acting is not only his profession, but it's certainly an outlet for the things he's been through his way to turn his energies into some kind of art or something positive and knowing. Now we know, especially thanks to social media, he is one of the nicest human beings in the world. And he enjoys being around people

Theo, I really appreciate your kindness and enthusiasm every time. It's not it's really nice to just talk film, you know, sometimes movie watching can be a very isolating experience, especially if the people around you don't don't necessarily have similar tastes. I'm also somebody who loves going to the movies alone. I don't have a problem with it. But sometimes I'll leave and I really want to have a conversation with somebody, and this is a good form for that

And especially with film taste, we know that they can be one end to the other, because I grew up seventy s and eighty s, and one of my favorite movies of all time is Apocalypse Now, just Masterpiece 100%. Especially with the production H*** that kind of came with. It was just amazing. Anything got made at all. It's crazy how bad productions can breed Apocalypse Now, and then the other side of that can breed Marlon Brando's, island of Doctor Moreau
