Topic Tuesday - Anxiety Relief Strategies

article image placeholderUploaded by @MHNmaven
You why. Hello there, everyone. Welcome to topic Tuesday on the Mind Health network. I'm your mind health network, maven Beau. And this week's topic is anxiety. And we're talking about relief strategies. A lot of people say coping mechanisms. I do not like the word coping. Coping is a very basic Band Aid of approach to something that I think is extremely important. In fact, I am completing my BS in psychology

My bubble

It's no wonder so many of us are having new levels of discomfort and anxiety. And when we're met with fairy base solutions that are as easy as visualization and of the grounding techniques, I mean, we keep on hearing about them, and there's always someone talking about them. But here's your voice talking right now, here. So simple, so inviting. The bubble one I just adore. I think it's so beautiful and it puts a little smile on my face

And mental health is like not just depression and anxiety. It's an entire multicolored rainbow. Multi shaded multicolored rainbow, just like physical health. I forget what you called it instead, but I loved it. I'm fostering a dog right now who's very interested in his own reflection which is not something I'm totally used to seeing in dogs. He's really interested and engaged in it

We want to prevent your anxiety from moving when you first get out of bed. Gratitude journal is great. Pull it up and when you wake up, okay? I was grateful for these things last night. I'm going to be grateful today. Gives you a good start right there, doing the breathing, going and doing about your thing, bubbling yourself. I have to bubble sometimes right out of bed. Depends on what's going on

It's not a matter of I have a problem. It's a matter of I have to work on my mind health every day. And here's the thing. Everybody does. Not one person on this earth doesn't have anxiety. Everybody has anxiety. Let's cover that in the next reply

So when you're talking about those combining, there are studies done, by the way, multiple studies, concluding that anxiety is the beginning, then it turns to depression, and then it turns to severe depression, and then it turns to other things going on the ladder to major mind health challenges. So you want to keep natural anxiety. Everybody has anxiety, by the way. Natural anxiety is with everybody, just like everybody has stress

So I'm back on my path and walking my purpose. And it's to let people know about mind health. Everybody thinks oh, mental health. And I hate that term. It's such a horrible, poor, negative term. And it has too many condemnations of horribleness that we all conjure up, even myself

How do we most people react? Do we actually take a minute to think, maybe we could respond? There's so many different reasons and things and situations that could cause anxiety. So, Dalai Lama is the one that said if you feel anxious, you're living in the future, you're thinking about things in the future. If you're sad and depressed, you're thinking about things in the past. To be truly at peace, you must be in the present moment

I cannot even imagine what you guys go through over there with all that chaos. It is truly remarkable that you have found the breathing and the breath that is so important to life. I don't know who it is. It says the breath of life. You've heard that saying, the breath of life? It really is so important, life and breathing. And I know everybody, when they're hit with severe trauma will do that

My deepest sincerity, my hand is on my heart right now, and I'm sending to you and so honored and blessed to have found swell and really amazing people. Thank you so much. B. And I wish you a peaceful slumber. I do that, too. And my poor husband, luckily, I'm out here with him, but he puts up with me talking, and he's like, do you even know these people? Just go do your thing

And like you said, going on walks or just getting outside are things that I definitely resonate with and really help me when I'm experiencing my form of anxiety
