And we've linked that conversation to her article in Time. I also linked an article to the NCAA news that College athletes are now able to be paid. And all this comes at a time when I was planning already to speak with you about the world of young athletes and advocating for them. So for those of you who want to know a little more about Melissa, she has been in the sports world for a very long time, telling stories about the sports world

In Conversation with Melissa Forman - a passionate sports advocate, 5-time Emmy Award winning producer / storyteller #swellinterview

And I know a lot of people who are Division One athletes and they have face. And to be honest with you, I had to actually write this about in my essay. Imagine this, Melissa and Davey, imagine if you are a top level wide receiver or a tight end for a really good power five College football program, and you have to go out every single Saturday and play in front of a crowd of 30 to 50,000 people in a packed Stadium

@Pranavrohit_26 @MelissaForman

Prana, thank you so much for joining this conversation and for sharing your perspective. You have a front row seat. And it's interesting to hear how you saw that athlete who had such a personal tragedy and had to show up and perform and how that hits so home for you. And it's these micro moments that sometimes we do in public. Sometimes we have them in private. But it's this ongoing conversation of how do we support each other

@DBPardes

If you think about it being an athlete or being part of a team, it's like the special distinction you have, like a support system with you. You work together as a team, both on and off the field and for whatever problems are there. And, you know, like a sanctuary sports that we are able to solve issues in this world

@MelissaForman. UPDATE : in production/ will return when possible

So if someone is closeted as a gay athlete and they're closeted because their family might not be able to handle it, let alone their teammates, have you come across that, especially with the girls soccer, you probably have gotten pretty close to a lot of the players. Have you ever had to help a young female athlete come out to your family? And if so, what was that like?

I wanted to stay in sports, but I really wanted the morals and the teachings and the values to have more of an impact. And you mentioned Girls Soccer Network. I'm still working with them. It's an incredible organization, really some of my favorite people and really focusing and highlighting on the power of women's sports. There's some crazy factoid about 90% of all C sweet women play to team sports bar. It works

And that doesn't go over well because there's somebody else that is whispering in their ear. Hey, if you join this League, I will get her all the best coaching in the world. We'll play year round, we'll get really good. And when she graduates high school, there'll be a D one scholarship waiting for. They are approaching these kids and every sport doesn't matter what sport it is. This is the approach that's taken and parents are buying into it
