And all of this originated because I gave a few hours of my time, because I found organizations that would allow me to learn new skills while helping others. If there's something you're missing, if there's something you need, I'm going to argue that you can gain it through networking. Find organizations within your community, those that are supporting the unhoused population, those are supporting teens as they go through high school, and they're trying to figure out what they want to do

I think that's so awesome and clever that you were like, you know what? What's another route that I can take? And you took it rather than playing victim, rather than getting defeated, you're like, how else can I make this happen? And it was so clever to go to a volunteer place that is literally teaching business and learn business. My partner always said that if he wanted to learn a new skill, he wanted to get paid to do that

I love your response and you're absolutely right. It's amazing. I heard recently that this isn't a test drive. Like we get one shot at life and we need to take advantage of that and sitting back and hoping things will happen. I know a lot of people that seem content to just be a part of life, to flow through life and making that decision that nothing's going to get in my way
