Multiple personalities on different social media platforms?

article image placeholderUploaded by @soulcandyj
And it's not really many people on there that I know in real life, my fun app, because that's where I started out on social media for real, where I was able to be myself and be free from home and all that. So that's where all the fun is. And then there's Twitter

And so you can be who you want to be, which is your true self on the apps because again, they don't know you. You can have 2 billion followers you don't know mainly, but two of them. So you put things out in the atmosphere, hemisphere and it's like whatever. I think it's about really being transparent on any app that you are on because you need to be your authentic self. I understand that family, I don't really care

We re did this .... Great topic 👀👀👀❤️❤️❤️

Sorry. Take two. And I'm still out of breath. Yeah, I am out of shape. I just climbing up, fly the stairs. I get pretty, pretty winded. Anyway, so listen back. And I'm like, no. Well, we talked and we were like, we should probably redo it because I couldn't even understand what I was saying. I get so excited. I'm sorry. I do like this topic a lot

Most of those people on Instagram or TikTok, I don't know them. And so I tend to do a lot of my particular now on TikTok. I do a lot of my creative postings on TikTok. Instagram is just kind of general things. Sometimes it could be a family picture. Sometimes it might be something about the work I'm doing. I used to be on Twitter, but I'm not right now. And you're right, Twitter is just kind of wide open

That doesn't really change that much given no matter what context we are in. But given those particular environments we may be in, a certain aspect of our personality may shine more so than the other. So for instance, here on Swell, I can use my voice and talk. So there are some things I can do that I can't really do so much on Instagram or Facebook. But in that same regard, I don't really find the need to talk about sneakers here or hip hop here

And the same with my Instagram, both business pages, I cross over to my Facebook business pages for both businesses. And then with Swell, it's a blend of my business persona and my real authentic persona. If you have a Swell topic, I am going to give you my full authentic response, but it's going to be in a politically correct way

But he totally nailed it in terms of he didn't say we're curating, but the fact that we are sharing certain aspects on different channels because the channel affords us the opportunity to do so. I will share this like you. For me, Facebook is primarily to connect and keep up with family. I don't really post there anymore. After 15 years, I don't find it particularly helpful. But I do need to promote my performing arts on there because that's where my audience is
