Similarly, we can assume that this child's self esteem would be rather low if they were constantly told based on stereotypes about their identity, that they aren't good enough or that they aren't smart enough. So my point here is that the stereotypes and negative schemas that are associated between identities such as black or Latino or Indigenous and identities such as low socioeconomic status. These have real deep rooted systemic impacts even on an individual's attachment style and intimate relationships. So how do we mitigate this?

Children of Immigrants & Generation Trauma

I think something that also needs to be mentioned is the entire concept of generational trauma because I think that can have a profound impact on the way children are treated and raised, and if that isn't addressed, then it can lead to a continuous cycle of trauma and pain and resentment. Anyway, I did not mean to stray away from your original topic, Izzy, but I do think you're absolutely right in that identity as well as background can have a significant impact on attachment style
