Why does the gender gap exist?

article image placeholderby Sandy Millar
So why is it still that we continue to have this gender gap not only in pay, but also in the amount of women that we see in leadership? I mean, there's just not the equivalent amount of women as there are men. Women are no less capable than men are. So why is there still this gender gap?

Brainstorming possible reasons that we see a gender gap in pay and positions of power

@SeekingPlumb

⚠️ Perhaps a bit controversial. ⚠️ @Izzy

And this enables the masses to reinforce the ideas to constrain women into certain roles, certain behaviors, et cetera. Okay, so that stuff I've been talking about there was supposedly roughly 2000 years ago. But what about before then? And like I said in the beginning, I don't know that we will ever have any answers, because I don't know how far back this goes

So to this day, and that's our abortion rights are still under fire, which is bringing us back to religion because you have the biological differences. And then you have social differences and cultural differences. And in the initial post, you correlated like, oh, boys, playing with cars. And I can't see that there being a link between boy playing with a car as a child and male testosterone and muscles and war making and war mongering, which is going to be obviously big and broad

Wow. Christian apologetics, starting with Eve, in 5 min or less. @SeekingP

And then so based on that is both biological and environmental, it may sound as though I'm like being kind of retro, like, anti feminist to say, well, men belonging in the workplace and women are interested in that, because, like I said, when Tight online opened up sports to women, that's a great thing. I speak as someone who has a lot of masculine energy, who is an athlete in high school, and I've never had any shamer on that
@SeekingPlumb

Elaboration on Adam & Eve. @Brooke415

So not to hijack Izzy's thread here, but just to add to some of the comments I made previously about Adam and Eve and to respond to you. Brooke, if we go back to the book of Genesis, God actually tells Adam not to Eve eat of the tree with the knowledge of good and evil before Eve was ever created

Yikes I'm not a speaker, bear with me, and I respect your wisdom. All love.

It's like close to your heart and you're obviously educated and you know what you're talking about. And I respect where you're coming from. And I'm honestly sorry that I'm mad that people mess things up. People just mess things up because I think you and I would probably agree that there's a big difference between spirituality and spiritual understanding
@SeekingPlumb

@Brooke415

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. We can continue the conversation if you want, but I think we should create a new swell as far as education. I'm pretty sure I remember you saying something about having a degree in journalism, and that pretty much stacks up and over my high school diploma with respect to Adam, wasn't saying so much anything about his role in it, as I was saying that I think that neither of them are responsible

They don't grade for EQ in school, where you would be head of class imo. πŸ‘

Okay, fair enough. I don't know if you can hear me. I'm on a Bluetooth, but it sounds like no, it's actually more impressive anyway. Yeah, you're right. We can continue sitting on a different swell for some reason, it sounds like we're saying, let's take this outside. You want to disagree about religion? Let's take it outside, sister
