What's your favorite burger joint? Burger chain?

Narrow that down a little bit and say, What's your favorite burger chain in the US of a I am fully expecting to hear a huge debate from all of our Cali folks about in and out being the end all be all. So you will probably hear from me about how I feel about certain things, but let me start it off. So as far as chains are concerned, right here in my home town, when I go eat a burger at a chain restaurant. Yup, you guessed it

They add pickles a little bit more of their sauce, and I enjoy it better that way. Me personally, it's funny that I do make a lot of burgers personally, but I'm not a big fan of a burger. I like all the stuff that you can put on it. So if a burger has a lot of stuff and kind of drowns out the flavor of the meat, that's what I'm looking for

Unfortunately, they are a local chain to the local Austin area. They've probably got ten to twelve outlets there in Austin. It's really cool is that they've got a lot of cool architecture. Not every single one of them is a dining location. Some are just drive through, so they've got great food and yes, the meat is the star of the show. They do an organic, I believe, Black Angus Patty for other burgers and so juicy and tasty

So when continuing on this stuff, the burger chain that's down in Austin, Pete Terry's has an interesting color scheme. So you see a very Aqua looking light blue along with some red and white. And then they have some wood accents. Whereas many chain restaurants are very similar to each other, Peter's is only similar. As far as the color scheme, everything else is different. Every single one you go to looks different. And it's very interesting

@Lovebyrds_Steph
Hey, Matt. So, yeah, the in and out is definitely an acquired thing, I guess their customer service. So they definitely pride themselves on that. If you get something that that isn't up to your standards or whatnot, and you let them know they actually will send you out gift cards or gift certificates for free stuff. But it's funny that you say that you order your burger the same everywhere you go. And that is exactly what Shane does. He orders

Love burgers, cool conversation

I've enjoyed listening to this conversation about burgers. It's funny in the detail you've got into almost like I've been doing two things. The accents, the conversation alerts and stuff. It's been a while since I've been in the States for a long time. The last time we were in the States, busy holiday was probably 2008. That's a long time ago. And at other time in Vegas, I remember visiting a place called Fat Burger

It's other middle of the day, and I'm walking down and I just feel, wow, I could eat five guys. I know it's around other corner, and I've even Googled is five guys healthy knowing that it's not going to be healthy just in case other say, yeah, and I could go and eat it. But it never says that. So I think I've even once put it in my fitness style to say exactly what the breakdown of fat and everything was

You said it's a burger joint conversation, so I guess it's a little bit valid, but yeah, the cinnamon rolls there are amazing. They've all been great at every place that I've had them at, so I always make sure to get that at those burger places. The burgers are good. I don't want to say they're awesome, but they're good enough. I like it

Hey, just one more thing. I've got a suggestion for a different topic. If you want to. If you want to start a different conversation similar to this, maybe bring up a conversation about why it's better to be about pizza. Let's talk about pizza next. What's your favorite pizza? Pizza

When I returned to the States or when I have anything on a chain here, we have McDonald's, and we have Burger King, and we have a couple of local ripoffs. Well knock offs. They're not rip off proper burger. Places takeaways about a mile or so from where I live, I just can't handle it. I can't handle burgers anymore. It's like it gives me GI distress, man. But steak sandwiches. I can handle them

@RobbinMilne

Yeah, I know it sounds like a funny combination, but really, honestly, it heightens the fences, man molecule. I don't know if it was just the day it was, you know, it's a November, crisp, sunny day, other blue skies in November. And you've got this molecule and it smells so good. And it just heightens the whole experience. So you put that together in the Friday died. And oh, my God, you're in heaven

Someone said that the East Coast also has some good restaurants out here. I think it was you, Robin, and they haven't represented yet. So Besides the Philly cheesesteak, which is not really a burger joint, there's something that might qualify as burger joint. It's called White Castle, just like you had mentioned at the beginning of this conversation

I know it sounds crazy. I know it sounds absolutely crazy, but if you ever get a chance to try Molecule, check it out with your favorite burger, man, see what happens

But as far as Whataburger and Smash Burger and Fat Burger and Shake Shack, even in and out, I mean, they're all basically just a generic burger. Nothing special about any of them. Like, the meat doesn't have any special flavor or anything like that. So I think that's a chain thing, though. They're pretty consistent across the board, everyone I've ever been to, but the specialty burgers, like Gordon Ramses and Guy Fieri's

Thanks for the tip

So it's interesting. But I will check out. Thanks for the tip. I'll check out a Gordon Ramsay restaurant just for a burger. See what their burgers are like, what his burgers are like

@Smalltowntxbbq
And that kind of makes me happy. But yeah, wanting to get to Shake Shack definitely. Burger Fly, another place that I've eaten at that I have seen, like going down as far as them closing restaurants and stuff like that. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was great. Was Smashburger Smashburger, I thought was cool. I still haven't had fat burger, but Smash Burger was cool. They're French fries. Wow. Those were interesting French fries to put Rosemary on them

@Smalltowntxbbq
And if you have not had this beef yet, it doesn't have to be Mishima reserve. But Wagyu beef, ground beef. The marbling in that beef is amazing. And so I made some thick, juicy smoked burgers out on the grill. Just light smoke, nothing heavy, nothing overwhelming. So I seared them over direct heat. And then I moved them over to indirect heat. And I let those Cook and let them smoke for about an hour to a medium well, consistency

@Smalltowntxbbq
Typically, there were some times when he got tired of us stopping at a burger joint, so he would just instead of asking us where we wanted to go, he'd take us to some places like an old restaurant called Acapulco Lounge or some other steakhouses or stuff like that where we go and eat. But that jumbo burger was amazing for a little burger stand in the middle of the town a few years ago
@Smalltowntxbbq
There's local places here that are better, but it was close to the place I needed to be at. And it's interesting because I reached my hand out the window to give the girl cash, and I hear her mumbling some words under her mask and saying something about Cologne. And I said, Are you asking me about my Cologne? And she says, yeah, what kind of Cologne is that? It smells so good

That would be Griff Burgers in Fort Worth, Texas. It is the best

@Smalltowntxbbq
Hey Bad Nana. I have not heard of Griff burgers. Or maybe I have. It's just been a long time. I am definitely interested in getting a burger there of these days. Are they still around? Are they in existence? Do they still serve food? I'm just curious about that. And are they a small chain? I'm going to have to look them up on the internet and see what's up

Freddy's and Braum's

You get a variety of ice cream desserts from your regular cone of ice cream to soft serve to sundaes banana splits, all different kinds of flavors of ice cream, dairy, nondairy sherberts milkshakes and everything you could toss into the ice cream mix. They'll mix it up for you. It's amazing. It's almost an infinite amount of ice cream combinations you can make. So if you're a fan of ice cream and you're in an area where they have a bronze, definitely check it out

And that's really tasty. I really enjoy all that. And in fact, that is in the place where K and N used to be years ago. Another place that used to be housed there was the charcoal house where they made burgers. But, yeah, there's a lot of other stuff I'd love to try and see. And I'd love to try the regional burgers. There's a guy that actually is considered the Burger King
