Taking running water for granted

article image placeholderUploaded by @singsunflower13
Simple problem. Go fill up a bucket of water, pour it in the back tank so that way I can flush the toilet. Go to turn, get the bucket from my kitchen, and I go to the bathroom, and I go to my my tub, and I go to turn on the water. Three Driplets come out. I said, what the f, right? And then I'm like, this can't be happening. And I'm like, oh, my God. No

Sorry. I had a lot to say, so I got cut off, and I only give you five minutes. Anyways, so all that to say, I my neighbor confirms that she doesn't have water. And then she proceeded to tell me that she did speak to the the manager, and he did say that they had posted a sign by the mailboxes that the water was going to be shown off today

But I definitely don't take water for granted a lot because I live in Los Angeles, and we've got a shortage here, and I know it and I feel it, and I go to the desert quite a bit, and that's really parched and beautiful, but it's a whole different flow of energy and resources there, for sure. What do I take for granted?

It really messes with me because I'm trying to be patient, because I know it's just something where it's just a connection issue, just need to refresh the router or the modem or something like that. But when it's electricity is out, that's different because there's nothing I can do to get it back on. And yeah, it does gnaw at me. Water and electricity, those are things we depend on as human beings

Can't pull money out, really can't get gas. I'm sort of on lockdown. I think as of late, I figured out a way that my bank offers a digital wallet option, but still, I'd rather have my card. I'm just old school like that and just not having a card. I just feel naked. And I feel naked, alone, ashamed. I feel disgusted. I just feel like I fell myself over and over again with that

I do not take it for granted. Not at all. The fact that we have running water is a blessing. I hope some of these corporates don't get any disturbing ideas about contaminating contaminating our water so we can buy their bottled waters. I hope we don't get to the point where we're showering and bathing bottled waters. But all jokes aside, I am so grateful that we can just turn on the faucet and voila, water

And I had just moved into the place that I'm currently in, so I didn't even have Wi Fi set up. I was working so many hours and all this stuff, so I didn't have WiFi or nothing set up. And it was something like, we don't really need it kind of thing. And then school needed it, and then I was like, Holy Toledo, I really need to invest in some WiFi

So I guess the last time I even used my debit card was on Wednesday. Wednesday. And I didn't have to use it since then. Today it just dawned on me as I was at my I was rushing out of the house

We get that for free because we have planted trees. Good for us, you know? Glad we don't have to pay for our air. Thank you so much for sharing again
