You spend some time with a person, you like your wife and your friends, you like hanging out with them. That's enough reason to make them your friend. Friend is not a difficult relationship. It's easy, very easy. But of course there are some limits and lounge that you shouldn't cause even in friendship yourself. Talk about anything you feel comfortable about and you will be friends with everyone. You don't have to be extra at all. Be yourself and that's it

I also hope he actually in college. It is really common and it is really hard to make friends and keep them because nobody is loyal.
