So since 2006 to UCF professors neuroscientist Kimino Buster Gaya and violinist Ayako unitani, I've been teaching a course called Music and the Brain at the Bernard Honors College, and it's all about how music affects brain function and human behavior. According to them, even people with Alzheimer's are responsible for music. So patients suffering from this disease, which causes memory loss, actually retain memories associated with music, which are usually emotional ones. And also the kind of music you like is what usually causes this effect
