Languages are terrifying...but fear not!

Hi, guys. A couple of days ago, a friend of mine was trying to start learning a new language, and I believe in Spanish. And my friend asked me, how do you deal with learning new languages? And first of all, I've mentioned this before. Languages is something I've just always been good at picking up. Like, I just have an interest for languages. And a lot of the times I don't even try intentionally picking up

I completely agree with your grammar point on how one shouldn't focus just too much, only on grammar and the theory behind everything, because trust me, like across to me personal experience, it hasn't helped. I have learned Arabic for ten plus CRS and I don't know anything. I cannot hold a conversation with anyone in Arabic. I am not fluent. I can read and write, but I don't understand what I'm reading or writing. It's just a big no

Anyone can do that with a lot of practice. But with speaking, it takes so much time for it to come up fluently. And I feel like a lot of the time teachers forget to do that with us, especially with Arabic, like my French teacher kudos to him, he's amazing. He literally tells us, like, okay, I don't want to see you guys writing and reading anymore because I know you guys can do that. I want you guys to actually speak
