Are we more judgemental towards young unmarried couples?
Hello, swell Castor. Happy Valentine's Day. So on the day of love, I thought I would finally talk about a topic that had been in my head for a few days now. So I saw this this picture on social media and it really did got me thinking, why are we okay with elderly, unmarried couples being openly affectionate with each other or being loving with each other out in the public? We are so comfortable with that
But yet now that I am older and married, I don't fear it as much because I know that the judgment won't be as bad because I'm married now, which makes public displays of affection more acceptable. But why is that? And it's interesting because I know in the US, at least, like older people are, like, praised or uplifted for showing public displays of affection while younger couples are shunned for it. Why is that? I don't know
