I was spending a lot of time angry and frustrated God for not doing what I wanted him to do in the time I wanted him to do it. But what I didn't realize is, one, he's God. He knows when, he knows where, he knows how, he knows everything. So for me to be pissy and not even saying thank you for all of the things he was doing, it was like smacking him in the face. And then forgiveness

Amen. Amen. Amen. It is so true. I'm just discovering these things as I journey along with the Lord in this season, and I just really wanted to be free. And when he expressed to me that I, first of all, wasn't grateful and that he couldn't give me more until I got grateful, and then right after Know started down the gratitude journey, he was like, now it's time to deal with that forgiveness issue

And by one, focusing on gratitude, two, really running down that forgiveness list every day, and then three, the one thing I forgive myself for the day before has changed my relationship with the Lord drastically. It's opened up my heart. It has created a level of intimacy that I never had before. My ability to hear him has increased by leaps and bounds and I feel so much better, so much weight lifted off of my heart
