Caregiving in Recovery

But this particular phase of my own recovery journey as a selfcaregiver this time, and how to balance that caring for other people and also making sure that I'm staying healthy for myself is really a unique experience and one that I want to share with more people because I've learned a lot. And I almost feel like it was just as hard as the first time I went through kind of stepping into the recovery space for myself and how hard I had to work and fight for my own well being

There are a lot of caregiver conversations on Swell, and I'm just trying to figure out how to best to alert them to yours and you to them. But there are people who are in your situation or a combination thereof. So I'll poke my head around and try to invite people, but definitely go to the search function, the browse function, and type in Caregiver or Caregiving or Caregiver, and you'll meet a bunch of people and maybe you can invite them to this Swell

And that made me feel slippery, sloppy. But I went as a way to like, how do I deal with my mother, how do I deal with caregiving? And then for the first after the six months of trying to pretend like I was just there to deal with caregiving, then the real work started of me actually going back and addressing the trauma that I had pretended I was not holding on to
