Is there a truly int'l superhero? A genderless superhero? Fat? "Disabled"?

article image placeholderUploaded by @SeekingPlumb
Okay, now my brain is just going crazy. Is there a fat superhero about a disabled superhero, an autistic superhero? There's so many possibilities. I'm just curious of I know that some of these things are not traditionally considered, quote unquote, like superheroesque, but, I mean, it would definitely shift things up, take up perceptions and ideas of what is, what could be

The whole thing is like X Men comics did not perform well, so they were put on bi monthly status, and then they were just reprints, and Marvel was just doing whatever they could to keep the franchise alive until they got a team together, and they decided, you know what? We're going to make X Men, like, as international as possible, because before, it was just like a bunch of white people, white mutants

You know, like, it's real, you feel it, you know, it's actually going to be made probably into a movie or a live action show. James gunn just announced it. People in the know, people that know their comics know how awesome the Authority is. There would be no the boys would not exist without it. So, yeah, really great stuff. Yes

So to kind of see where that's going to go is great. And I think we all know that comic books have really reflected in a lot of ways the world's at hand, where we're at in kind of our human history and has always been some type of mirror, if you will, as to now, where our society is going to kind of track back to where society has been. And I dig the fact that there's a concept for others to identify with

They were both female appearing, and they had a moment where they lost eyes and kissed while theo was, like, fighting and stuff going around them, because I remember distinctly watching that, saying, oh, wow. Okay. The industry is making a point to say here, checkmark. We have acknowledged the same sex community, so that leaves a full figured superhero. I don't believe we've had a full figured superhero outside of that time

@Her_Sisu

There has absolutely been a full figured superhero. Her name is Faith from I'm pretty sure it's Dark Horse comics. If it's not Dark horse, it's image. She is a larger woman. She also happens to be white and blond hair, blue eyes. But you asked for a heavier female that doesn't have the curves and theo legs, eggs of cylock and, you know, all those things. So, yeah, check that out. It's actually very, very well written

I think captain planet may be theo closest to being an international superhero because this meant was saving a planet, but everything was like within the United States. So I get what you're saying. Batman at times would go to other countries. superman, I'm not sure if he ever went international. I don't that's a tough one. I want to say he I'm pretty sure he has. I don't know. That is a good question

And to your point about, you know, comics not selling, I think that genderless definitely fits under that umbrella there. And because some of these others were only recently starting to see emerge from the recesses, I guess you could say, into popular awareness, she hulk. This is partially on me, I guess, because I've never really read comics or been exposed to them much, but she hulk was brand new to me. Until the TV show came out, I had no idea she existed

But anyway, thank you again for mentioning the able and the second thumbs up for the authority. I'm I'm very intrigued. If I don't check it out sooner I'm looking forward to this upcoming movie

And now it's checkbox on a form when I have to fill s*** out. And so it's like, I don't know, I see myself as not different necessarily. I can do different things than the things that are prioritized by people. I don't know. The terminology is like, what society thinks versus what I think. And in some ways, does it really matter? Differently abled, disabled, fat, full figured, I am these things

Again, like I said, it's difficult, I suppose, when you're making stories for a specific audience, but it would be nice for the wider world to be considered. I mean, back to being born American and being a duel with Canada. I live close to the Canadian border, and there was the news. Never, hardly ever mentioned Canada. It was like theo didn't even exist. Go to Canada. Our news here is international

Wow. Thank you for enlightening me with that. I'm gonna search for her to see, like, how I can watch film of this character to see what movie she's in and then what streaming platforms I can find it on. Thank you

See, that's the thing. It's like, she's not on a TV show. She's not on a streaming thing. She's a comic book character. Not all comic book characters are on film and TV yet, so if you don't support them when they're comic book characters, they never get to be on TV. So she's been around for faith has been over around for over a decade

The authority is so, so good. So there would be, like, no boys. The boys would not exist. There's so many comic book comic book series on TV and so many comic books in general that would not exist without the authority. So, yeah. Oh, my God. Totally. Check it out

Only as the villains

It was like hing, Kong. verse. godzilla. Like a remake and a show. This one girl who was a photographer, who was without any body armor training or anything like that was going against, like, Navy seals and winning and shot a rocket to kill one of the monsters. It just plays into that fantasy. But I don't know, because people will say, well, that's not something that's, like, realistic. It's like, well, superheroes aren't realistic

And we don't think about that. We don't look at that. Instead, we look at the nonconformity of and the undesirability of these sort of limited perspectives. And I think the same is true when we're talking about somebody who's disabled. If they're in a wheelchair or they have, as you were talking about, the girl who was flying around Sun Spider, if I heard that correctly, with her. Oh, my goodness, brain fart. What are they called?
