I always thought it was important to at least buy one thing that I could show for the money. Then the rest of it I could either put back into playing more poker or put aside to take home. The city did grow stale for me, but I do have a lot of fond memories, and I think maybe I'm reaching that point where I kind of miss playing live. I kind of miss all of the events, the sort of summer camp feel. Everyone coming back together again
I love that story, you're playing with your dolls and bringing home the spoils after playing with friends and too much fun. I didn't start playing poker until I was an adult. I rarely play now, maybe once or twice a year, and then it's online. But it's not nearly as enjoyable to me because there are so many facets to the game that I really appreciate, not just the theory and the math, but the psychology and the table dynamics and so on
