I double dog dare you. Do it. You gotta do it. You gotta take the ugliest selfie of yourself ever. I was opening my camera. I don't even remember why now, but and inevitably, when the cameras rancing at you instead of away, and I'm like, oh, that was painful. But then I couldn't help myself, and I just heard making faces and taking photos, and I was like, I'm enjoying this healthy dose of laughter

The first time I did it, she sent me a voice message back, and she goes, george, don't ever send me a photo like that again. You look terrible. Stop it. And I replied to her and said, why does everything have to be perfect, mate? Why do we always have to look pretty all the time? Why can't we look awkward or weird or tired or sad or whatever? I mean, ugly is in the eyes of the beholder, right? Yeah
And even as I'm listening to you describe it's okay to look tired and so on, I have a few other photos of myself, selfies, that I've never posted anywhere because I thought, oh, look, I've got dark circles under my eyes, or oh, look, this or that. But you know what? That entire package, I talk all the time about the shiny bits of me shining and then the flaws being a part of me too, and that entire package

Man, Fried Oreo. You don't even know how how funny this is because just a couple of nights ago, I was hanging out with a cousin who I've only seen twice in like the last 20 years of my life, probably maybe longer than that. He's kind of stressed about moving forward in his life and what he's going to do next in terms of a job and stuff like that. And not a big fan of being out and about amongst people

You know, quite frequently my iPhone likes to take pictures of me. Like, I'll grab it and my thumb goes to, you know, go somewhere on the screen and already there's, like, the picture button. It's weird. We're starting to think that it was a glitch, but now we're starting to believe that our iPhone is doing this on purpose. And the other day, it caught this f****** selfie of me
Has not I have not seen an ugly photo yet in this thread. I am loving this. You sort of have this look on your face like you've been caught caught in the act. Like whatever that act might be. But here, hearing the rest of the story made me think of, like it's like a facet of the multidimensionality that is you is trying to get your attention. And so there's this inadvertent photo snapped. And it's kind of like that facet

We should do we should just look at the innermost, inner self of person, like how the person behaves or act with people and everything. So, yeah, here's my ugly selfie. And I did that there. I could not agree more. It looks like you almost have this smile in your eyes. I keep second guessing myself, but it almost looks like you're smiling no matter what your face is doing. Bridge. Sometimes you really want to take an unflattering portrait, okay? So I think you have to not only find find a pose for your face that is unflattering. I think you also have the wrong lighting, and I think it helps to have the wrong angle to just ruin what the concept of selfie should be. So here's my submission
Okay. I find this fascinating on multiple levels. I realize I have a degree of face blindness, but I'm looking at this photo and I'm like, that is not Tim. Who is that? I'm like, all you did was change the angle and the lighting and but for whatever reason, I'm like, I have no idea who that is. I'm fascinated by the weirdness of my brain. I'm fascinated by how much lighting and angle play into these things

It was scary, right? But for whatever reason, like, the laughter kept me in it. Otherwise you would have never seen my photo. But I love yours because you took me back to memories and I was over here attempting to make fishy faces, which haven't done in a very long time. I just wanted to say thank you for that, and I'm glad that you decided to barrel through that challenge and join in the fun. Thank you
And then I'm like, okay, I can do it. I did actually, though, wait until I had at least my hair, because it was pretty bad when I was doing the initial battle inside here. And, of course, I'm a cartoon in my brain, so this was just really fun. Want to do more of this?
I don't really post photos to, but we have these ideas of what goes on those platforms, right, and catching the right angle and the right lighting and everything. And it would be fun to sort of break that up and start a trend of ugly selfies. But I think that visceral feeling is so strong, it would be really hard to counter it because there's no real pay off. I mean, for me, I was taking the photos myself, for myself, and I was laughing
