Surprise! π€ͺ The autism spectrum is π« linear.
So, as they say, don't judge a book by its cover. Don't stop at the outside presentation of an autistic behavior, language, et cetera. Instead, at least know that there's more going on

You. Thanks for sharing this post. I completely agree with you. I have a daughter who was diagnosed with autism at age 18, and I've learned over the years that this doesn't mean that she's less autistic than other people. She just maybe has a better or easier way of masking her symptoms than another person with autism might. So you're right, there is a spectrum, but no person that's autistic is more or less severe. They're just different

Hello. My name is Patrick, and I am 66 years old. This is how long I've been autistic, and I have officially invited you to my join my group if you'd like to. I think what you said was perfectly said. Okay, I agree wholeheartedly with you. I personally am a sensitive avoider, and I've also masked. In fact, I've masked all the way up until about, let's say, six years ago

You. Hi, Patrick. Thanks so much for the invitation. I'm now following you. I did want to ask about the term Asperger's. I have heard it's a little bit controversial now. In fact, I believe legally the term Asperger's has now been replaced with the term Autism Spectrum disorder, level four. And I suppose there are four levels. So ASD four would replace the term Asperger's
Because we create spaces with four rigid straight boxes, walls, but we don't incorporate the organic, whether it's shapes or whether it's plants, whether it's do you know what I mean? And if we need to redesign public spaces for everyone from a more sensory perspective, like, how much would that benefit our lives? Instead of just surviving or getting by or getting this done and so on, it being very functional, like, we could thrive in different ways
On the other hand, as an autistic, there are needs will shift throughout our lives and they can shift to be more severe, to be less severe depending on a variety of factors. Right? And so I sort of think of those quote unquote levels as being superficially helpful. And I wonder then if they're more helpful for those on the outside than they are for those on the inside. I don't know. It's interesting
