You don't *own* your reputation.

Do I change who I am to be a bit more flashy? To do a musical number that echoes through the station, neon signs pointing check this out, come here, and then spray all over those who come into the vicinity? Is this something I'm willing to do? I've come to a few conclusions and the first is really unsurprising that online social spaces really favor those who are more extroverted

When have you earned enough? What do you want to do with it? #philosophy #socialmedia #reputation

I was talking with my dad yesterday, and we were talking even about being peacemakers. You really can't make peace on your own. You can't say, Well, I'm a peaceful person, but you never get out there and have an instance where you have to be peaceable. So I'm thinking maybe that's well, that's my take on it. Like your reputation

@GoodEnough Correction: "Or palatable to hardly anyone."

And this may seem a bit circuitous, but in you using that word relational was really helpful in sort of reflecting that back to me, because I kept thinking that if I wanted to create these spaces that my reputation could unlock the door to, then I had to change something about myself, about the environment, whatever, right?

Christina someone posted they bought a 21 year old vehicle off of Facebook Marketplace that the person who sold it to them said that the vehicle was in perfect working condition. Well, of course, when they got the vehicle after about 48 hours, it's not in perfect working condition. They had to take it to a mechanic who listed out a number of very expensive things that need to be repaired on this vehicle. This was screenshot

I wish that more people could consider the shades of gray the nuances and complexities the way that you did in this particular situation that there would be more understanding and more compassion and maybe truer reputations because then it's not being constrained or shaved or sculpted in the way that makes us feel good about ourselves. Instead, it's a more true representation of this other person
