Is age really just a number?

article image placeholderIs age really just a number?
But the younger generation seem to offer respect when it's earned, not necessarily based on one's age or even credentials or experiences, et cetera. And maybe these are incorrect observations. And I would love to hear if you see things differently in general. I would just love to hear the perspectives from the different generations. So you don't have to give us your exact age, but maybe the decade 20s, 30s, 40s, whatever. Because I would love to hear whether age is is is

What does YOUR generation think?

Inch by inch case by case 🌱

I think that having overbearing parents, overbearing teachers, even judgmental siblings can really point you in a direction of thinking that people don't understand you. And you've put that through a filter of age. I also feel like I've had experiences in the last ten years with a group of younger people that have inspired me because they've shown me their curiosity and their hope, which I needed to feel during times when life looks really miserable around our political landscape, the climate crisis, things like that

@SeekingPlumb, @DBPardes Great conversation

He does not want to retire. And that concept is new to me because I'm kind of like, I want to retire now. And the reason I want to retire now is because of this whole life purpose. I have so much to do. And I want to do this now. My dad, on the other hand, he doesn't want to retire because he looks at it as, okay. If I retire, I'm going to be home. And then what happens to me?

Which Voice holds Priority?

And I really have learned to appreciate the amount of years that I've experienced in such a short amount of time and still be able to call myself 24 or 25 and claim what stigma is surrounded with that age by society. So I think it's really important to what are we focusing on?

The Singular Age.

Earth, planet Earth itself is just slow gears in the innards of the universal clock of time as we know it, and we perceive it to be. I think the more we get out of these structures and ways of thinking of age, the better we can be. And I think sometimes we're too over reliant on these ideals of age, this ideal of youth and trying to remain beautiful forever. Some people have disfigured their bodies in order to look, quote, unquote perfect

Age is whatever you allow it to be.

I feel like a lot of the things that I have learned to be true. I examine, and there's a more critical thought there in regards to what do I want to keep perpetuating as I get older? And for me, it's weird because I started the hobby of creating music at the age of 20, and so it was just a hobby. But over the course of code, it's just like I took it more seriously

She died as well, but I think she also was a late bloomer. It's just amazing how many people come into their sound later. But in terms of feeling relevant, if you're looking at the lowest common denominator of certain industry, you're going to get swallowed up in just a world that has nothing to do with your raw talent. So age has nothing to do with your drive and your passion and the one life you have to live it truthfully and let us hear

First, a shout out and a thank you to you, Deb, for making this conversation so diverse. I love all of the different perspectives and that they come from all of these different points in in life. And also I think there's this old soul, young soul type of thing going on as well. And so there are just a lot of insights. And I just really appreciate everyone's input. So thanks you very much

So because of that experience that I had growing up, I never really considered age as a barrier or determinant of anything, which made me quite the annoying student when I entered, like, public school because I really questioned people. I was like, You're a teacher. I don't care that you're a teacher. You're not better than me because you're a teacher. I'm still allowed to question you

Eze. I love the way that you were raised. You've got me thinking about the differences in how I was raised and then how I approach age now, and they're not entirely separate from each other, but they also don't quite fit. So anyway, some interesting thoughts in my mind. So thank you for that. I hope you don't mind, but I reselled your response and punted the conversation in a slightly different direction. And so I just moved it to a new topic
