It's a spirit which we all need to imbibe. And I really value that. Never say that spirit. That unmitigated, unstoppable, undaunted spirit. That is the true spirit of sales, and that is the true spirit of being a human being. So, yeah, I hope you enjoyed Joe

Given that misadventures of a sales girl draws quite a bit from your personal experiences, would you agree that your writing tends to veer more towards rendering the writer less impersonal, less formal and more intimate and vulnerable?

And I personally feel that writing itself should be from the heart, because when you do it from the heart, it's true, it's honest, it's beautiful, and writing is very as I mentioned, it depends, what are you writing for? What's your purpose? So, for me, I think I want to reach out to readers. It's my way of connecting to people

@aashisha

But also, writing is a challenge. There are always some preconceived ideas about writing and fiction, some taboos, some goals that die hard, like what I just shared. Did you have any goals of your own that you had to deal with while writing this book?

@Ramya

That's an interesting perspective because preconceived notions can take a long time to get over and they can often be a spanner in the works. Yes, I did feel at one point in time, whether, you know, I am a serious writer or not, whether I'm going to be writing chiclet or commercial fiction and if that is going to make any sense, a lot of writers in the writing community have these hierarchies or levels. I'm not sure if you know about it or others

So, Aashisha, I'm sure September would have been a whirlwind of a month for you with the book launch and all the other promotional events around the book. The writer today is more of a public figure, giving readings and signing books, responding to events happening around, giving interviews, and all of that. Do you think this affects the writer's choice of subject, attitude, or writing style? And what are your thoughts on creating a marketable auto brand?

@Ramya

I'm not going to talk about what it is, but since the whole idea has not been conceptualized well yet. But I think there is always a link between the things you write because there's always a link between the things, between all the people that you are. So it kind of makes a chain. And that is, I think, what builds an author brand

And that's how you become somebody who people can emulate because kids are growing up and they will read you and hopefully they will read you and hopefully reading will still be invoked by then. Yes. And that is how I think an author is created. So I do hope that this conversation gave you all some food for thought and do reach out to me at ashishantis called the Mind Pin, on Instagram, Facebook, on Swell, anywhere
