And who wouldn't like the idea of changing one's life in just three weeks? So where does the real answer lie? How long does it take to form a habit? And how long does it take to take a break from a bad habit? Is there any signs to back this up? And what does all of this mean for you and me? A later study examined the habits of 96 people over a twelve week period. And people chose simple habits like drinking eight glasses of water every day

To connect this with our current topic it is important to understand two concepts. And these come from two Sanskrit words. The first is Abhikram which means any effort we make towards achieving a goal. And the second is Pratyava which means adverse effect. So what Krishna is saying to Arjun here is that our Abhikram or the effort we make in this life, these efforts are never wasted and no good deed performed, however big or small shall ever have any pratyaba or adverse effect

Hi, Vandana, thank you for this post. It was fascinating to know about the 21 Day Habit Theory. And you are right in a way, because even as I was listening to you share the background of the theory, I did for a moment think, wow, wouldn't it be amazing if this was indeed a proven strategy? Because 21 Days is so doable, right?
