The eternal quest for excellence…

And as 2023 progresses and we leave 2022 behind, one hopes memories of COVID and all its attending problems will soon fade, too. Fortunately for all of us this year, the New Year celebrations were quite like they used to be. Parties, good food, shopping, vacations and whatnot. And, of course, how can one forget the New Year special? Yes. The New Year resolution. I'm sure this year's list was made up of the usual suspects

Then there are others who are in quest of truth through acquisition of knowledge. For them, remaining in pursuit of gyan is their way of being spiritual. For them, cultivating knowledge is a way of life. Then there is yet another category of people who remain constantly engaged in work. They do this for the sake of doing that work and not in the hope of any return. All these are simply different kinds of focus and none of them is superior or inferior to another

Thank you, Dr. Vandana, for this wonderful message from the Bhagavad Gita. And yes, I think it's very true that we must sort of focus on pursuing excellence in whatever we do. And I think one way of looking at it is to give a hundred percent, bring our best to the table continuously and without any expectations, of course, so that one doesn't get demotivated. If one doesn't achieve or obtain the results, one shouldn't really feel demotivated and drop the ball there

Really loved what you said, Vandana, that excellence is never an accident or a standalone act. I think it's profound. Thank you for sparking this conversation and giving me so much food for thought. You've given a whole new perspective to New Year resolutions and why we often end up giving up on them in frustration. Frustration. I have been guilty of that way more than I care to admit

And I think the more we talk, the more ideas will emerge so we can continue to exchange our thoughts and ideas and share it with everybody on the Swell platform. So thank you once again. Thank you. Stay in touch. Bye. And

Yeah, I'm back. One more thing I forgot to tell you in my last response, how I totally love your name. The wordsmith part of it. I just love the word wordsmith. And basically I love words. And I'm fascinated by words, by the origin of words. I'm fascinated by the evolution of words and I'm very fascinated by, like I said, the origin of words

So my current pursuit for excellence is since I'm new to Swell, so I'm trying to figure out the app. So not being 100% tech savvy, it's taking a little bit of time. So it took me a while to figure out where to find your reply and then to how to reply to your reply and so on and so forth. But I'm figuring it out
