Unbeknownst to Tessa, Hardin is dared to make her fall in love with him and then break up with her. However, in the books he's dared to take her virginity, not fall in love. Then moving on. I didn't know about the books first, but with that said, after watching the first and second movies, I have really realized that I really do not like a toxic hero. I can't stand it. Their relationship in those movies was so infuriating to me and to hear that he's even worse in the books than he was in the movies. I don't know. I probably can't imagine that I would be very frustrated reading those books
