Tuesday through -nose piercing

article image placeholderUploaded by @Rosebud
And being my own business owner, I decided, who's going to stop me? I'm not going to fire myself, so I'm going to go get my nose pierced. And afterwards, it was really interesting, the responses that I've received about getting my nose pierced. Some people are really excited about it. Some people are like, at your age? Why would you do that at your age?

I've never really understood these ideas that society has of like doing that at your age or even the midlife crisis. Because in all reality there's so much more complexity to these things. The midlife crisis a lot changes if you're a parent and you suddenly become an empty nester or you gain a different perspective on life. And so the ideas that once held significance and power when we were younger don't necessarily hold the same now

I think I could not have said anything any better. And I'm so glad that you participated in this little conversation. I know it's not a huge debate. I know it's not going to cause any type of real life changing red solutions, but it is going to help us think about how we judge people. So I appreciate you. I appreciate you. I appreciate you. I look forward to hearing the stuff that you have

It's the tattoo of the picture that I sent you. And I got it because I had just successfully beat back meno, mr. C cancer. And I did it because, quite frankly, I didn't want to go to my grave without a tattoo. And so now I have that one, and I have some holly and holly bears berries on my other arm. And today at 73, I've made the decision to get my third tattoo

I wish there was a way, like, we could meet everybody in person, but I know that's not always the case, but I love the tattoo that you shared and my heart is with you for your beagle, for your loss on your beagle. I myself have four dogs, so I completely understand. I have not lost any of my dogs, but they are getting close to that age where I know they may be leaving me soon

But the point of just owning your moment and just knowing if the playground of life is yours and most people who are looking at you most of the time are secretly admiring you that's how I feel. And also just that beautiful relationship with oneself that is so autonomous, that is a goal in life, and it makes you a kinder, more yielding person to other people's diversity because you're celebrating your own. It's just the gift of life is to love your life. It really is

It. What an absolutely great reply. Thank you so much. I could not stop laughing at the end when we mentioned a you know whose name? That could be a whole controversial swell conversation all by itself, but we won't go there. I did love the fact that you've mentioned how it really doesn't matter, and you're right, it really doesn't matter what people's opinions are of us

I like when I see older women who have such style, and whether that's nose piercing, whether that's a really funky haircut or hair color or they got something going on with their nails and pair of shoes, it's just like, oh, my God, where'd you get those shoes? I love it. So I love when folks our age do funky things, if that makes sense, right? So I love it

It's really interesting, and I'm glad that this post could help bring up some of those topics and some of those ideas that we have about one another, because we are all human beings. We're all of the same race. Doesn't matter what we look like. We all are connected. We are all part of God. You know what I mean?

You're. Thank you so much. I just have to reply once again because you even mentioned being of the same race, and I just said that in someone else's swell cast today. He was talking about stereotypes, and I was like, yeah, I have a particular skin color and I have a culture, but I'm like, aren't we all one race? So it's just so funny you said that exact, exact same line
