#SuccessionOnSwell — thoughts before the SERIES finale?! (episodes 7, 8, & 9)
Okay, I fell off from doing these and that's on me. But come on. Series finale this Sunday. We need to discuss what's been happening this season, the final season of succession episodes seven, eight and nine. I have a lot of thoughts, but as always, no spoilers on this on this first post. And then anything goes in the replies. So what are your thoughts? Where do you stand? How do you see it going?

Like, this level of idiocy can only be justified with intentionality. There's no way the system f****** on purpose. Like, this guy just wants to tank the f****** company. Just like Kendall wants to tank the Gojo deal transition. I believe I said it in previous discussions, but I think somebody's going to kill themselves

It's fun to hear all of you talk. I I really do hope there's no suicides. It's just not the way out. I hope that the writers don't do that. Life can be heavy and horrible, but we're hoping that that doesn't happen. I have to give props for Shiv. I'm going to say this and just get toppled, but, you know, Shiv has had a really rough time being in her world her whole life

It. I had so much to say. I didn't even talk about Greg. Greg is also my favorite character because he's so funny. But these past two episodes, greg has really been, like, standing up for himself, and I love to see it. I was talking to my cousin. He was saying that he thinks Greg is just a foil, like just comic relief for the others to donk on. And to a certain extent, I agree

But I don't know, there's just so much going on in my head about this show. It's just one of the most amazing shows that I've seen. It's been a while since I felt like this about a show. I could say for several years, I think, but yeah, wow. I don't know where it's going to go

Ro, thanks for starting this. It's been fun to listen to everybody's responses. And yes, I am feeling both excited to see the last episode tomorrow and a little bummed that it's going to be over. I never really was interested in this show, but I'm really glad that I came around to it. I do think mainly because the acting and the writing is just so brilliant. Every character is just so great

Like, that's the whole thing. Like, it's documents. But but the the internal, the emotional third rail is so intense. Always. I agree. I got to say, I'm a Kendall girly, and I think mainly because Jeremy Strong just floors me every time. But I got to say that Kieran Culkin deserves all the praise. Deserves all I mean, give him his roses, give him his Emmy because he killed it this season. He took me for a spin

You know, Kendall's just a broken man and we'll find a way to do something again because he's got a huge ego, but it's underneath, it is a broken man. So we all could think about, where are they going next? We won't ever know. Someone's got to write that, and they won't. But it was an extraordinary journey, for sure. Thank you
