Prompt: What’s a piece of advice that changed your life?

Prompt what is a piece of advice that changed your life? Mine personally, I would have to say is a therapist. I once had told me, people will hurt you, you will hurt people. That's inevitable. And I think that changed my life because it gave me the freedom not to act recklessly or without caring for others, but with a bit more leniency towards myself and towards following my heart

Trying to get creative juices flowing feel free to reply with something you’ve written, or improvised, or anything! 🌼

And I think that was so important from her just to tell me that you want to try something new, try something new. You want to pursue a career in journalism, go pursue a career in journalism. I think that was so important just to know that someone else is always telling me there, you can always just do something that you want to do

It took years to get to a place where I could talk about it without so much just layered emotion and even guilt and all kinds of stuff. Everything happens for a reason. Trope really f***** with me during that period of time because it was just like, god d***, she died for a reason. Like, no, no, she should be here. And there's so many other things in my life that applies to in other people's lives

Sometimes it's not about fixing things, sometimes it's just about shifting beliefs. So instead of trying to fix things I can't control or control things that are completely beyond my reach, I learn to shift my beliefs around what those things are to try to grow down into the roots of what's real and what's present and what is significant and gives me purpose. I love this question. Gives me a lot to think about

And I remember he said, anxiety is when you keep thinking about stuff that's going to happen in the future, and depression is when you keep thinking about things in the past. And it just kind of opened up my eyes. Fast forward ten years now, right on my 30th birthday, I came to realize and I kind of always knew this, but it didn't hit me until my 30th birthday and my experience in the Marine Corps. I see some stuff. I went through some stuff

Thank you Ro, Ill share a doodle of mine too lol.

I think that's one of the things. And the other is the advice I give my kids that basically you have to be really objective of how today affects the rest of your life. And my kid at school for example, he says he's already the eldest. And I tell him that this week will define your next month, and the next month will define the next year, and the next year will define the next ten

A piece of advice that changed my life if you are afraid, do it anyway. There's something empowering and challenging, like in a dare kind of way, about that bit of advice. And I don't even remember if it was given freely or read somewhere and I took it as a sort of a divine intervention or divine advice
