Try something new in the new year

article image placeholder Try it.
If it doesn't work out, we'll drop it like a hot brick and move on to the next thing. That's what life is. That's what the beginning of a new year's is. And you have as many start overs as you want to in this life while there's breath, there's hope so. Try something new. Try a new language or a new skill. Expand your Horizons and drop stuff again

And now that we are stuck at home for an extended period of time, more so than we even thought before. I think it's time that I start exploring things that I I've had interest in, but I've never fully Dove into. So thanks for the post. Welcome to swell

So you're not alone in understanding while there's breath, there's hope you're not alone in understanding that it's time to step out and try new stuff. So again, thank you so much for your reply. I appreciate it. And it's my first welcome aboard to Swell. So happy New Year to you and yours. And I pray for a healthy and happy, which is another impact expression. Two new things for me..well..one brand new and one new again

I have never done transcendental meditation, but I'm going to do that starting today. And then the second thing is not necessarily new, but it's going to be new from a long time ago is that actually reading books before bed too often. Over this past year, I've been reading online

Sharing your website link for others http://impactactual.com

Hey Rob, welcome to Swell. I just followed you on Twitter as well. I liked your Impact actual website. I think your message makes a lot of sense and I'm looking forward to what you will have to spade on as well regarding your message about trying new stuff. I fully agree with that. And in particular, I like to know about dropping things that don't work. I think time is the most precious commodity

What we hold may hold us back - boom! @RobDuBois

And you said something that really caught my ear, which was what we hold us back. And it's sort of taking inventory in the New year about what am I holding? That is not near and dear and wonderful to me. What am I holding? That is keeping me in some kind of story or in some kind of perpetual motion, and that doesn't serve me. So I'm thinking about it, and I like the prompt. So your voice here is welcome

Don't do that. The lights in my living room right now. They don't do that. But the blue light from the screen is different. It's manufactured sunlight, which confuses our brain and helps us slide or go to sleep to the right or go to sleep. Button so two very good habits you're talking about. And I really appreciate you sharing them. And I'm looking forward to talking more about this stuff

Welcome to Swell!

@DriveWithUsPod

Continue to push yourself to be better and don't give up!

I think so many of us need to hear this, especially after the crazy year we just had for 2021. My sister and I have set many goals for ourselves, which I feel like a lot of people usually set many goals. But both personally and for our podcast, we we spent a good chunk of our end of 2020 actually planning out the future of our show, and we're super excited to implement these changes. And one of those changes is to have video so we can post on YouTube
@DriveWithUsPod

@Phil I LOVE reading and it is a great way to unwind before bed!

Reading before bed is such a great way to wind down at the end of the day, and I've noticed such a difference in my sleep when I would read before bed versus using my phone before I went to bed. And in 2020 my plan was to put up the phone away an hour before I went to sleep and read. But that only lasted for a little bit and I would get distracted and my phone I would be back on my phone before I knew it

It's not easy

There's always going to be something that you need to go to the phone for. And I really have to implement. The only thing that works for me is putting something in my calendar and sticking to it. And so I'm going to have to do that every night. I'm going to have to put in there. He put the phone down and re into my calendar. And that reminds me, it's time to do that
