What Apple Music Replay says to my therapist

article image placeholderUploaded by @riverhunter87
Like, my number one song, it's not in the image that I shared because I don't think I can share multiple images. I don't know. But my number one song was Billy Eilish. Oxytocin, and I was like, this song, of course, that would be the number one song this year. That makes so much sense. And I just was wondering, I guess if anybody else you can probably hear my kittens running around playing. I'm sorry

It's interesting. I don't know what my music says about me. I use Spotify, but I also have auditory processing disorder where if there is, let's just say this, I am terrible when it comes to lyrics. I can't decipher them most of the time, separate from the music joy. And I feel music in my body

I mean, I do, don't get me wrong, I have love for music, but I think I loved it more, like when I was younger than listening to it all the time. Whereas now it's like I'll listen to it for a little bit, but I really want to listen to, like, talking. I'm more into talking than I am into music

I want to mention what Christina said as well, how music affects her and it affects her physically. And I'm always talking about the type of system you have because I listen to music on my phone and headphones Bluetooth speakers, and then I have a stereo, you know, with proper separates and really good speakers and subwater and everything. And you can really feel the music and the separation and the sound stage and music, the bass. It's physical. You can feel it

So actually getting a record out and taking it out from the sleeve, looking at the actual cover of the record, dusting the record off, putting it onto the turntable, getting the needle and turntable skin and hearing that needle drop and seeing it, it changes the whole experience. So I wonder if you are into that. Maybe you already are. Like I said, most people listen to on Bluetooth, but lots of people play vinyl

And I really like to enjoy my music louder and without distracting noises so that I can attempt to process all of that. I love to listen to cinematic scores for a variety of reasons, but there are so many different instruments in there that you can pick out that are just exquisite. Right. But if you don't have not just the equipment, but the ability to parse those sounds, then you can't actually appreciate them to the same degree as you can if some of the environment is tuned out

I know exactly what you're saying when you talk about just a vibe for the song and not really paying attention to what it means. Like, I get that there's a lot of songs that I listen to, and I think some of the reasons why some of those songs specifically showed up in my thing was because I'm like, I use them for aesthetic purposes while I'm writing. So billie eilish

It's not like a Dweeb, but just that's how I try to approach life, is look at it from a different perspective. I do like that you produce music. That's really cool. I love to sing. I wish I could produce music, I just never have the time or to think about it. But I love music as well. So thanks

It's made me think of there's a song I'm obsessed with lately. I cannot tell you why. I have no idea why. But I've been listening to it on repeat, sometimes for days at a time and I'm obsessed with it. Can I tell you what any of the lyrics are? No. Can I even tell you the name of the song? No. In my head, it's kind of like I don't know

I would probably be too chicken, but I would want to hang out and just pick their brain and be like, what did you eat before you recorded this? And they're like, what? The kind of stuff fascinates me. Also, when you talked about finding a really good system, I know what you mean with that. I always listen to music on my ipod or MP3 player growing up. Well, a young adult, and I always used really cheap headphones

Yes. So I pulled it up so I can listen to it. I don't think I can. I'm not going to play it in the background because I don't want to get this swell taken down. But I love it. I do the same thing, too. I'll put something on. Like I said. No idea what it's about, but I love it. Or like it can be about cheating on your spouse with a hooker

But yeah, it's almost an afterthought in terms of music and bonding with people and things of that nature. Is that something that I prescribe to actually in this very thread markr, I believe his name is him and I have had an exchange, well, I guess more so on my end. I remember we were talking about music and he ended up playing music in the replies and I was like, well, I wanted to just talk about it

But what I meant was, when I look at those genres or the albums or the bands that I listened to, I'm like, oh, this is cool. I want to hang out with this person. So it's self love. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'm like, yeah, I'm looking like, yeah, I like that. I like that. This is a cool person. So that's what I actually meant

But that would be dope to see a recap of my year or what has my year of music said about me? So I went to Apple Music after I listened to your spell, and I was like, oh, I got to know. And, oh, my gosh. The number one song played over and over and over and over and over and over and over again is Crybaby by Meg the stallion and rapper the Baby. Well, they were both rappers

So I was like, wow, that's quite a response to music. But I get it. Sometimes when albums come out, I will just roll around to bed with it and smoke a cigarette and spend hours feeling like I'm just making love to this album. So I get it. I wrote down Crybarry and Rocket and when go and listen to

I start hearing the parts of the song that really resonate with me, because that's all music is. It resonates. And there are certain songs that resonate with me because of the subject matter. And then there's certain songs that it's completely tonal
