Calendar | Then & Now
The curious thing is that my mother in law still has those calendars neatly tucked under the mattresses of her bed. Now, going back to my mum, when I was growing up, my mum would wrap up books with these thickened calendar, glossy papers, and I still have my own children's books, fairy tales books covered with calendars that go back to 1986. Every time I pick up those books, I run my hands over them

Hi. So I think growing up I have seen many calendars. I think it was part of her as a decoration and also as a part of her informative thing which was always hanging on a wall or something, sometimes on the desks. But most of them were like as a child I've seen these calendars. There were many type of calendars which we were getting as gifts, sometimes as an add on where we are buying something from our local vendors, like maybe clothes or something like that

It's mostly the laptop and the phone that we tend to refer to in today's age. And it's only for the Malayalam month that I refer to the hanging calendar, right? Especially when I know festivities around the corner. And I remember I think my mom still covers her books using the pages from the calendar. And I also have preserved some calendars which have to do with airplanes from across the world, then some related to cyberbully shield and so on
Our books also used to be covered with old calendar paper. That was one part of it. Second was another cousin of mine. She used to work with Air India these days. And we used to look forward to this big, huge Air India calendars. They were so beautiful. And because of the pictures, they're all around India. They were either about textiles or jewelry, about monuments, about food or something like that. Every other day I had a theme
Oh yeah, just to follow up, you know, let's not forget the Kingfisher calendar, which was last year to 2021 here. So it was now and then now that has also become then. So I can't help but putting a beer connection to everything that I see. So that's the other one choose
