WOMEN’s PREMIER LEAGUE: SMALL STEP FOR THE BCCI, A GIANT LEAP FOR WOMEN’s SPORTS

article image placeholderUploaded by @ririshah
An outstanding display of batting from Hermantreet corps and Amelia Kerr, an absolute conquer of a partnership. Corkur Hermantreet Cor, amelia Kerr for those who didn't get it, for the Uninitiated. Anyway, before that, I really forgot this. I am really happy that Mandara Bayi got to host the opening ceremony of the Women's Premier League. She has been one of the pioneers. Her name should go down among the first few written for those who fought for women's cricket in India

By the Holy Ghost. So, yeah, really poor stuff from Visual Science. Expect better from them and they're open yet another Australian player their side is pretty much Australians and a couple of no Australians and railways the Australia Ways Team people were calling it and yeah really questionable tactics from them. The captain not setting the fields. The bowler wants the captain. Kent taking a backseat in most occasions, she let Ashley Gardner take the control

I think seeing that performance, india could very well just select her for the fourth test in the body of Asha Trophy. Other than that we saw an excellent bit of fielding from the young Athemes cricketer sorry Gintimani Kalita. I know I'm not pronouncing that right, but I'm sorry I will get the pronunciations and names and everything right as these twelve progresses. I'm still learning so please do forgive me for that. But anyway, Jillian Goswami herself is speaking very highly of her

So she was given the freedom of course and start down by a lot of cricketers. When she was even asking about it. The answer whatever they wanted to. Nothing connected to her question. And it was very intimidating, she said. And they have chosen her because it takes to stay. So go ahead and be yourself and start enduring yourself. That's what she said. She has been friends to many excavators of woman general and she was the lover of cricket

Hello. I think I got your name right, but it's wonderful to hear from other people as well. If you got the match, it's great. Really looking forward to you replying more and the insight you gave on Monday. We all the years that she was working on how she got and how she displeasured from her own media, et cetera. I did not know this. It's great to get new information and I would really encourage you to talk more to my mother, to myself

And the one thing which I had in mind, kind of a doubt, was whether it will be able to swoon the hearts of people in India, because the women's team has been doing extremely well in international matches. And hence I was a little apprehensive whether Women's Premier League will get the amount of love and will it be in mainstream cricket for Indians. And the first match which happened, it just blowed away all my doubts that I had

Hi. Hello. Thanks for the plan, first of all, and something you wrote off, a basic point, like people coming up, showing up to the Syrians. While it may sound basic, that's actually a vital step for women's cricket and gas development is a cricket India? Because one of the most reiterated points when it comes to women's cricket is it people find it boring, people, fans won't show up, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera

And also, as you mentioned, that you didn't have any role models such as an Indian cricket team. But I would like to differ you by saying that Swifty Mandana was someone who always had her name up. So, yes, according to me. For me, she's the one who I always looked up in the cricket and I really adore her work also. But let's see what this tube begins and what this trophy takes. To the Indian women cricket team

For example, to replace one player like that, you need to make two or three changes in the next game mumbai, Laks, and you can find goals on everything. But regardless, I think the three teams that are up there are DC, Mumbai, and I would really like to see what happens. And as I say, the people will do very well. Can have a bone to pick with Alyssa here. So that's it. Thank you so much for listening

Hi Rehan. Thank you so much for this amazing swell. Being a cricket fan for so long, it is such bless of a moment to witness the beginning of women's Premier League finally and for people like me who are in college and don't really find time to watch fulllength matches, such swells are everything we need

And she says that she recalls that she had an opposition that she faced from her parents for pursuing cricket as a courier. Also the Australia legend in Delhi capitals. Captain Meg Lanning, who's 32. And she moved away from the game after guiding her side to the Commonwealth Games. And she won a gold medal victory in August last year. She spent her time traveling and worked in a cafe doing the muggle things or doing the mundane things of making coffee and washing dishes

When people from outside the world come and play for us it rarely creates a very big impact in the mindset, in the dressing room and in the culture of the game. So yeah, Wpl is a great initiative and Wpl will be one of the achieved heights. I guess, though the first match was one sided but it doesn't mean all matches will be the same even in IPL. In the first game Brendan Macklem scored a century and everything

She covered the Allenter story, which also wanted to now in this year. So it's great. And I think days after days in becoming Ivy, it will be great. Our all players are scared and they also played good and they have the strength. And it will be the amazing journey in Indian cricket history and not only the Indian cricket history, it will be a great journey in our world cricket history

So I was very excited since the start as soon as Wpl got announced. And I was genuinely thinking, if it's going to make it the mainstream for Indian cricket fans the same way it is for men's cricket team, it might be very feminist of me to say, but we all know that the women's cricket team doesn't get that much hype as much as men's cricket team get every time

Hi, Rehan, I'm Kritika, and thank you for sharing this news through your swell cast page. And this is definitely a great achievement for the women in the field of sports. And even I was so glad to hear about this news. And in fact, I even made a swell cast on this. You could check out Robot if you wish to. Good job by our sports women. I guess. So I just wanted to share my opinion. And that is it

But, yeah, the biggest advantage would be the girls can look at it as a career, they can look at it for financial stability. And I think that would improve the case more than anything else. Doesn't matter what your background is, it doesn't matter what your education qualifications are, as long as you can fit a couple of path and hit the ball long way or like, you can bowl the off stump out

The biggest subject of the Women's Premier League would be to reduce the difference between the nations and between the skills of the Indian players with the players of other countries, especially somewhere like in Australia where they've had the women's BBL for a while now. And yes, within five to six seasons, I think you can see some major differences. And I'd be the happiest if something from the Women's Premier League could change the IPL. I think that would be outstanding. Revolutionary

Yes, absolutely. Thank you for applying, first of all. And no, you do not have to be a fan of cricket to be a well, be sure of the Women's Premier League, because the Women's Premier League is way more than cricket. It means sports, it means equality. Sports travels across boundaries. And I think one of the boundaries that we so desperately need to travel across is that of gender. And I think the women is doing a great, great job at that

The Women's Premier League is second only to the WNBA in terms of broadcasting deals. So I think we are going to scale new highs in the upcoming seasons. And thank you so much for being listening and replying and being a well worship of the Women's Premier League

And, yes, without a doubt, it is going to become mainstream cricket. It is already the second biggest broadcast women's league across the world, second only to the WNBA, so I have no doubt in that. And it's fine you couldn't catch the first match. We still have 20 more days of rooms, 20 weeks left, all the matches happening in room by three different grounds, so I'm absolutely sure you can catch at least one of those live

Hi. Hello. Thank you so much for the plan. I will definitely be checking out this well cast in the Women's Friendly League. Absolutely big fan of this, as you could have guessed from this. Well, I posted, but anyway, yes, this is huge for women in sport as a whole. Hello. First of all, I'd say it's really amazing to see someone talking about women's Premier League in India with such enthusiasm. Because according to my own experience, I'd say whenever I talk about women's cricket with anyone, they either don't respond or are not really interested. And as you have also mentioned in your swell too, that people consider it, it has boring and all

And if that's something that you like, then feel free to hop over to Twitter. My ID is ionisms. That's a yanis. So we engage on most matches and certainly the marquee matches for sure. And so we discuss the technicalities of the sports and there are very interesting commentary, insights, views, which are sometimes even more engaging than the men's game. And so the thing that we debated the last match was the shruti that comes along with popularity

And one last point I'd like to add that I really understand the theme behind listening to some of the commentators out there. Off the top of my head, I think the two people that you can actually follow and learn a lot is Kritika Dawar. And there's this person called Antonio Papandra, and she bits so much. She coverage for the under 19 Women's World Cup. I think she's a great person to follow. And then there's also Abusek nukarjeet

Yeah, it's beautiful. No one could have imagined that yes, Wpl or Women's Premier League could have turned out in such a beautiful way. Yesterday's match was also amazing and it's very difficult to choose which team is your favorite because right now it's like you're getting to know each and every player, each and every team keeping a track of how they are performing. Also, I love the way the entire promotions have been done for this Wpl

Here. Rehan, I heard you as well and really happy to see that how people are so excited about Wpl. It's a really proud thing for India that we are having a women's Premier League in India. And it's actually a very good thing. And it also encourages more people and women to follow their dreams and pursue careers like cricket. And it's also a new concept for the cricket lovers. As we all know that India has a huge fan base for cricket
