Old Age, Medical Advancements, and Guardianships

This was like something like one and a half or two weeks after he had the first stroke and able to really comprehend how to handle the situation. The only option was really to become his Guardians. We were the only two people in the state for my dad, and that's kind of what you just do as children. You want to take care of your parents. He retired early because he did pretty well in life and subsequently, though, didn't purchase health insurance

If this sounds rushed, it's because I was trying to get an awful lot in in 5 minutes. #aging #guardianship #medical

And if the Republicans come back to power, that might be the end of social security in this country, and because of the bills that they are trying to pass in that regard, and with that, it may be that you are amongst the start of a new trend in American culture, where slowly things will reverse back to the joint family system. There is even an excellent article I'll post in here of how this entire family system only changed in the last several decades. A good read

And one of your questions when you said, what can we do to help our future generations with kind of taking that load off of being the primary caregivers? And I think the solution is a lot more complex, but I'm not sure it will get better. I think that people will continue to outlive their mind, like their body will still be in working condition, have fits and not give out while they're mentally already gone or have been for some time
