Imagine that! Why are some people drawn to fantasy stories more than others?

Hi swell. This very interesting article I came across talks about studies conducted on the learning behavior of kids that suggest that children absorb some lessons way better when family fantasy blends with imaginative free play and learning. So I mean, who would have thunk I remember being hauled up in class for having my head up in the clouds and not paying attention and all of that

So for a child and a world ruled by adults, they see the capacity, the ability to control the world in the way that they want it to be. And for adults who are in a world ruled by society, they have the ability to do things that they wouldn't normally be able to do. But again, I think you mentioned the suspension of disbelief, which requires a large amount of creativity, and not everyone is able to do that, and not everyone finds that appealing

Some great points there! 👏👏

Hey, some really great points that you bring up here. I completely agree that many of us are drawn to the escapism that a fantasy provides without having to stray too far from our real life. And of course, personality differences have a role to play as well. So people who are more logical and realistic would naturally be wired to seek scientific and mathematical solutions. And fantasy stories might just sound outright ridiculous for them. But hey, thanks for sharing your views. Really appreciate it. It's

That's probably why he has taken a liking to fantasy, and I grew up with a healthy dose of stories, too, which are, as you said, far easy to remember and relate to. However, in today's world we have the luxury of providing those not inclined to fantasy therapy the world of visual medium, so complex concepts are broken down and explained so well. And animation also does a good job of showcasing relationships, bonding, and connecting et also beautifully. Yeah

Abstract vs concrete thinking.

Okay, you're speaking my language today. I follow a lot of things in the realm of MBTI Myers Briggs type indicator, as well as Carl Young and Young psychology and cognitive functions. And in regards of fantasy and why some gravitate towards it and others are kind of repelled by it could be this theory on the idea of some are driven more to the abstract, whereas others are more driven to the concrete
