30 years of SRK - Takshi Mehta's piece on Vogue delves into what makes SRK click.

article image placeholder30 years of Shah Rukh Khan: To the only man we’ve always loved
And it's amazing how, right from plush drawing rooms to one room shanties across class and cultural divides, Sharukhan is a welcome respite from the everyday drudgery of life for so many women, irrespective of their economic strata. So while for some, watching King Khan feverishly quote his lady love is a dreamy sort of escapism from reality, for many others, it is an expression of their desire to be desired in a certain way. And I can very well relate to that

But reading the article made me think, you know, I do think there is something about the way he embodies romance and the way he looks at his on screen romantic interests that is a very pleasing alternative. And role modeling, modeling of a different type of masculinity. And I think that is really appealing even for men who are tired for the same old action hero or the same old narcissism, go it alone, individual, rugged hero who's not emotionally available

Hey, Ramya. It's been 30 years already. I can't believe this. Well, I started off as a huge fan, you know, during my school and college going years. And I remember watching all his movies right from ZIVANA, right, to, I think, Ddljocha hair and so on, as a student, wide eyed with stars in my eyes. And I think there is a truth to what has been said in this article
